My partner and I will be together for 5 years come January and today we will solidify our commitment. He is a service member in the U.S. Army and I couldn't be more proud to be his army spouse. We want to thank all of you who helped make this possible.

We also want you to continue helping us tear down these barriers of discrimination we face on a daily basis. In time acceptance will be the social norm and this will all pass. ARG had been a while before that unofficially and we would hang out in Fathom Crypts or the Swamps. Over the past year we have had many ups and downs.

Thankfully we have never had a mass booting or a change of leadership. To be honest I could not have made it this far without my members past and present. It it because of them I stay here and play. Content doesn't matter to me as long as I can long in and hang out with them and chat.

So to all you ARG family members out there whether you are an ex ARGie or a present one...

Nintendo has invited me to come check out the Wii U in Seattle on September 7th. I am really excited to get a hands on preview for their new console which is set to launch this holiday season. The invitation is RSVP only and I am allowed to take 3 people with me. This will be my first event like this I attend. Hopefully I will be able to score some sweet prizes and try out all out the games. In case you have no idea what the Wii U is, here is a brief description from Wiki along with the official web page from Nintendo:

The Wii U is an upcoming video game console by Nintendo and will be the successor to the Wii. The system was unveiled during Nintendo's press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011 on June 7, 2011, and is expected to be released during the fourth quarter of 2012 in North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan. I think the hardest part will be finding the Officiant. It has been a little hard finding stuff to match the theme but JC Penny has a very good selection of formal wear. I also don't plan on spending an astronomical amount of money on attire I am only wearing once hahaha. It is coming together slowly but very nicely.

That isn't too far off. I have set a personal goal of losing 20 lbs so I can look good in my suit. It won't be easy but I have to do this. That off the wall outdated BMI chart says my ideal weight is 114.6 - 154.9 lbs which I think is ridiculous. My goal is 160 lbs I am using this free app called myfitnesspal to count my calories. It is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who is dieting and trying to count calories. It... 2 years ago today I stumbled upon a game that would capture my attention. A long time ago I used to play another MMO called Phantasy Star Online. It was my first MMO and the experience was amazing. It was all thanks to my lil bro who introduced me to it. Shortly after that Sega decided to shut down the servers due to low subscriptions. This left me looking for another MMO to soothe my taste for online gameplay.

I would check the App Store occasionally for new releases to see if anything compared to PSO. On Friday June 11 2010, I had gotten off of work and was ready for the weekend off. I decided to search the App Store and noticed this game called Pocket Legends. Looking at the preview screen shots I wasn't convinced it would be any good. It had a 4 star rating and the one thing that stood out was "Free to play MMO". I downloaded it and figured what the hell it is free.

I was hooked! It started off rocky but soon I found myself logging in multiple times a day. I didn't quite make founders since I joined 2 months after the cutoff but I still have been around long enough to see STS grow and evolve. Now here I am 2 years later still playing the game I almost passed up. Here are some random pics from my collection of 400+ photos.

Took me a while and some strategic planning but I managed to do it.. The stores around... So I finally managed to complete my Skylanders collection. Took me a while and some strategic planning but I managed to do it.. The stores around here all had repeats of the ones already in my collection. It seemed as though they weren't getting any new stock in due to the one they had sitting on the shelves. The Skylanders all share the same item #'s at a retail level with the exception of exclusives, adventure packs and triple packs. Since everyone is pretty much waiting for certain ones this showed little to no sales of current inventory. Not enough sales means no replenishment. After several trips to the electronics department I turned to eBay. The last one I needed was Wham-Shell and I had to pay $40 for it hahaha. Standard retail is $7-$10 depending on the retailer you go to. It was all worth it and I can now relax......until fall when the new Skylanders Giants come out then I begin again :(.

I am going to need a bigger shelf. The E3 show has revealed that there are more coming out than I thought:

I am occasionally asked "Why Alterran Royal Guard?". Well I will share my story and my inspiration for creating my guild.

I started my PL experience back on 6/11/2010. I was looking for an MMO that would be as fun as and older one that I played, Phantasy Star Online (PSO). I stumbled across PL one night and decided to give it a try. At first I wasn't sure if i'd like it. The game didn't give me the same feeling PSO did. I kept searching but couldn't find any others that were free to play so I came back to PL.

After a while I found myself logging on more often and enjoying myself. However I just couldn't quite understand the technics of the game. I didn't know what attributes and skills best suited my character. I went through the game and tried watching other players to see what they used.I even went as far as asking some higher level players only to be laughed at and called names. I knew I just had to figure this out on my own. Most of my character deaths were from Alien Oasis 1. I was so frustrated I told myself this isn't right.

I made it a goal to learn how to be a good mage and then teach others so they wouldn't have to go through what I did. In december of 2010 I joined the forums and did research on how to be an effective mage. I learned I had all my points allocated incorrectly.After I did a few respecs I finally was able to hold my own on runs and began my mission of helping others. Some of the people I helped were so thankful they asked to run with me a few times. That's when the idea of having a guild popped into my head.

Guilds still weren't official in PL so we just hung out together in random places like the cemetary and the swamp. In July of 2011 I announced our guild name. We would be known as "Alterran Royal Guard". The inspiration came from seeing an Army National Guard commercial.I thought "Hey we help people so why not be the Alterran Royal Guard?!". From then on it has been my dedication to help people. I wanted to find and recruit others that enjoy helping people without the expectations of a reward.

To this day we still hold true to the ARG way. Never charge for help and always help those in need. We also have a firm stance against power leveling as we feel this doesn't effectively teach someone one how to use their skills.We are not interested in leaderboards and we are not an overgrown disaster waiting to happen. We are a small family of less than 50. This has helped us form a strong bond with each other. We are a diverse guild with members all over the world. We are here for the people. We will always be here to help.
