Whirling with Whirlz

It has turned out unfortunately, that the Elf Queen's Team's master chef, Whirl, has decided to take some travels around Alterran. After receiving a very prompt and smug letter from the very phony Alterran Wide Avian Services, the team decides to cook for themselves. Bird conjures some very "crappy carp-y fish" for the first day, which passes the team's approval thanks to their hunger.

*yawn* So, I guess today is my turn?
Elf, Bear, Bird, and Human are sitting in a circle on a grass-woven rug situated in the center of a very humid and warm room. Only Human seems to be bothered by the dryness and heat of the room.
Yeah. *picks beak* You know, Elf, I think I did a pretty admirable job with the cooking yesterday.
A rather...decent job. Not exactly the prime cooking that we receive from Whirl everyday. But I guess I can't really complain about fish.
I think Bird needs to add more spices into his fish. The whole meal was dull.

Tuna Fin Soup? Oh, so that's what that yellow stuff was. You know, we have something called Shark Fin Soup in Humania. Really spicy as well. Actually, I could ma-umm, how about no. It's my turn today, thank you very much.
Okay...since it's your turn today Elf, you should at the least tell us what we have to suffer through for lunch. *smirk*
Heh, you'll see! And it'll be better than your fish and crap.

.... Whatever. Now, I need to start preparing our splendid meal today, so see ya' guys in an hour or so!
Elf swiftly dances out of the room.

Say...why is this room so hot?

You mean, you don't think there's some sort of volcano under this place?
Oooh! Yeah! Elf said something about a volcano.
I was exaggerating about the volcano but....
Ha, you didn't know? Royal Alterran Suite was situated several decades ago when the famous Valkyrie Sol decided to settle down.
Ahh, I see. A legend, do tell!
*pfft* It's not a legend... many say it's true...
Yeah, people say that weird dark symbol on the ground in front of the Royal Suite is the symbol of the Valkyries! *small grin*
*confusion* Huh? What symbol?

Bear leads the two out to the front gates of the Royal Suites. Situated under a tree, a very dark and shady symbol is stretched across the vast area in front of them.
Woahhh....how come I've never seen this before?
Sigh. Bird, Bear. Are you ser-Oh just forget it. Guys, that's not a symbol. We see them all the time in Humania...it's just a-
Human is quickly interrupted mid-speech by a very ecstatic Elf that can be heard from the kitchen.
GUYS I'M DONE WITH THE FOOD COME IN AND TAKE A LOOK!!!!!
YES! I'm coming! C'mon Bird! Food's waiting!
Ahh, ok. But I wanna know what Human wanted to say first...
No, come! *picks up bird and drags him along*

As the three fellows walk back into the Alterran Royal Suite, the sun changes its angle a few degrees, and the rather perplexing "symbol" on the ground moves a few feet to the right.

Inside the Suite
You know, Bird, you never told me that legend of Sol. Promise me you'll tell me later, ok?
Mmk, fine.
Okay, so I made us some really nice dishes. First, we have the Orange-Sauce Chicken, Fried Goblin Toes, Liquid Slime, Raid Roach's Gemstone Pie, Vyxnaar Steak, Magical Sauce, and Onyx-Hard Crystal Candy!
Then we have Pristine Silk Firecrackers, Vampire Vlod's Bloodsandvich, Alterran Nuts, Shadow Glowworms, Estravichi Fish, Mortar Cupcakes, Shards of Sharks, Galactic Grapes, and the famous Alterran Fire Flakes. So...what would you guys like?
I'll take the Alterran Fire Flakes and some Mortar Cupcakes.
Vampire Vlod's Bloodsandvich and Alterran Nuts with an extra topping of Magical Sauce please!
*does not know what any of the entrees are* I..umm...errr...do you have a McWhopper, french fries, soda, double-topping McSlushie, and a Happy Meal?
I dunno what the heck those animals and I don't think I made any happy, playful meals. So...
Ahh. I'll just take what bird took.
Oh, wait. I DO have the french fries, but they have goblin dust on them. Do you want some?
I'd rather...not. *wonders what the hell goblin dust is*
A few minutes later, the team is happily eating their food, all except Human, who is continuously poking at the Mortar Cupcakes, hoping they will not explode in front of his face.
So... how's the food? Eh?
