It seems that I am in the same situation as Redryder was (or is still in, idk, care to clarify red?).

To elaborate more on the subject, I am currently a senior at my high school and I have encountered a girl that I am absolutely head over heels for (no she is not too young for me, thank god lol!) sadly she barely even knows I exist. We have the same english class together and at the beginning of the year we were placed on seperate sides of the classroom. Just recently we had our state testing and the teacher switched up the seating arrangement, now she is literally one seat across from me!

Since the change she has begun to acknowledge my existance more and more. I really couldn't be happier with this, it's given me a chance to get to know her better (and more importantly to find out if she is seeing anyone). My main problem is when it comes to the initiation of relationships (eg. Asking girls out) my mouth suddenly snaps shut, my face turns bright red and I look like a complete bafoon.
I have gotten some encouragement from a few of my friends who just happen to be girls saying that my ability to make them laugh will come in handy but when I go to tell a joke or be funny my mind goes all gooey on me.

Like red said in his post, HELP!!

    well I recently broke up with mine (she was cheating) and I havnt really had much trouble with girls all I day is be yourself and try not to act desperate! and make sure u smell clean and look good :p

    Speaking as a girl, be confident! Confidence is the key, it's extremely appealing especially in a male. Do not mistake confidence for arrogance or cockiness both those are huge turn offs. Just ask her to go do something you both like doing together the first couple of times don't have to be "official" dinner and a movie dates.
    There is my advice. From what I know of you here on the forums you are a funny, confident, courteous and intelligent, you will be great, just ask her.

    Lol man, I have no advice when it comes to girls except make sure you smell good, and you dont crowd her. I have never asked out a girls in my 12 stoic, long, wizzened years, this is just normal girl behavior.

    And, I feel the need to admit that I fell head over heels with a girl in my grade. We have Periods 1, 5, and 6 together. Recently, our friendship has grown a lot (espescially for the 3 months we've been in school together) and idk if I want it to end by me asking her out. If she said yes, it'd be pretty cool, but she's also one of my best friends (with me being one of her's) and if she said no, it would get REALLY awkward to hang out together. Im stuck. Sorry to hi-jack your thread, nobody even has to help me :l Anyway, good luck! Hope youre back on soon with a new girlfriend!

    I suggest not dating until a later age dating young will just cause you heartbreak. Liking is ok just dont take it to seriously as you are very young.

    Try relaxing and bring a friend first. You'd be surprised how many women are turned off or intimidated by men "on the hunt".

    Sounds cliche, but acting natural/being yourself is the key to success. People get tired of meeting people's agent and not the actual person.

    Being yourself puts you in a bit of a comfort zone so you don't get tongue twisted. You aren't playing a roll, so things flow naturally.

    Dunno if that's what you wanted, but meh.
