Letter to Developers regarding pet names and skill descriptions

To start off - Pet names: the last two events we've had blinky and now frist

There's a very common scam going around "selling blinky" *puts up blight egg* & now "selling frist" *puts up frost egg* now I agree that people should pay attention in trades and that if you get scammed it's your own fault but it would help if pet names werent 1 letter different from eachother


Two: pet ability descriptions

Saying a pet "reduces hit chance/dmg/armor/slows movement" etc etc is vague and how are we supposed to know if the pet is actually good or not without hard numbers? Plz can hard nimbers be added (even if just in brackets) to pet descriptions or atleast have devs/mods when they release a new pet make a forum post WITH THE EXACT NUMBERS/PERCENTS of pet abilitys, it's beyond annoying having to do trial and error figuring it out

Exact damage stats and attack speed are soemthing needed also. I am working on a guide for this, but it will only be close to accurate at best, as it's very hard to accurately time attacks.

Damage output can't actually be calculated at the game end of things, as it depends on the mob involved. The best I'll be able to do on that is percentage comparisons.

Example: Glacian's passive damage is on average 60% of Samael.... of course that can't possibly take into account aoe dot effects on pets like Abaddon or Wurm, where the numbers are too many to actually count, but at least it will be somewhat helpful.

With so many pets involved it will be a long project, and ultimately would be much better if STS just included the numbers. Saying all arcane pets have the same damage and crit at any given level is totally out to lunch. It couldn't be more wrong.

So for example Frist's AA Freezeing Light lower's hit chance, but by what? And has a Freeze chance, but how much of a freeze chance?

Cause it appears both of these effects miss more often than they connect, so I have a pet with an AA that I know nothing about expect that it sometimes does what it's supposed to when I use it.

It's not fun to have a pet with decent stats, but have a skill that's basically a dice roll.

So yea, a few more details would be nice and that goes for any pet description that has the words 'chance' in it that doesn't have an actual percent rate listed.

@lvl 40 it's -80% hit chance 3s

Not sure about the freeze but I think it's 15% at lvl 40

Sorry actual hard numbers can never be added. Otherwise you would find 0 written in brackets which would later be identified as a display glitch(or is it)

what about renaming Frist to "Ice"?

I think it would be more essential in the stable description to show pet ability rather than just stats. Would be more interesting and resourceful.
