what to do when the other team has the flag

Dear entire community of Arcane Legends pvpers:

Suppose you are playing CTF on the blue team and the red team gets the flag. You will be notified they have the flag by a message that reads:

RED TEAM HAS THE FLAG!!
You should notice it since it is in humongeous letters that take up the entire top portion of your screen.

Divide the map in half in your mind. If you are in the half closest to your flag please, please, please, PLEASE! run and attack the flag carrier to get the flag back. If you're in the half closest to the other teams flag then, by all means, continue attacking the flag.

It is really aggravating to see the other team has the flag, turn around and run back to attack the flag carrier and pass two teammates who evidently can't read or choose to ignore the fact the other team has the flag.

If you mess up once I'll think you're just new to CTF and don't know how to play. I'll try to help and type out a nice message saying something like "please defend flag when you see they have it". Heck, Sometimes I'll even put a smiley face at the end like this: "please defend flag when you see they have it :)".

If you mess up a second time I won't be responsible for what I say. Lol.

The problem is many ppl r just too concern to farm kills as takng care of flag. I very oft find myself fighting against 3 ppl trying to hit the flag carrier and kill him before i die or at least slow him down so flag kills him (other team mates just picking up single targets). Running with flag alone is nothing unusual learnd to pick up right way to base but happens i run to opposite group and its over. Truly kill farming massacre is good sometimes as i can run freely with flag avoiding place where fighting goes on lol. But if the other team members r conscious and regroup to defend flag im screwd XD

Yep, I don't know why people can't read the messages that pop up.

It depends on the situation at that moment, you cant let 1-2 members fight against 4-5 enemies with flag. That's totally suicide.

If there was some sort of prize for winning the game then I think people would actually try to play defense. But there is no stat on your stat page for "flages allowed", only flags that you scored. So most folks are more interested in that.

When I'm in an impish mood I join and try to play. I have this horrible inability to EVER find my way around maps. I get lost left and right. There is no way I can figure out how to get to whomever has the flag and if I manage (very doubtful) to get the flag I usually just run in circles because I have no idea where to leave it. I think that even as much as you love me, Rob, you'd want to stab me if I played CTF with you.

You should turn on the mini map. It helps you figure out where you are and where you need to go.

Doesnt matter if my enemy wins or loses since theres no reward. Everyone just drives for their own benefits and atm its only killstats and flag captures. In my opinion they should add rewards to pvp for winning team and add a debuff for leaving game before it has ended. Its really annoying when players leave just because they get owned. Great debuff would be something along the lines that you cant enter pvp games for the next 10 mins or so. But as of now juts do pvp for your own purposes. Dont shout to people if they dont defend the flag since it doesnt really matter yet.

Learning to play correctly now so you are ready when it does "make a difference" is important.

And yeah, the amount of times I have been running home with a flag and seen a team mate run right past me in the opposite direction is infuriating. Much worse than seeing them ignore the opposition when they pick up our flag because so long as they are going somewhere they are giving some kind of benefit, be it attacking their flag trying to steal a score at the same time or picking off people in the middle of the room keeping them from defending the runner.

That's the sad thing! I do use my mini-map. I used to get lost in Crush the Keeper all.the.time. I'd get lost in every sewer level. I have no clue how I manage it.
