New Permanent Farming Dungeon Idea

Hey guys. A few months back, I made a thread stating some ideas I think would improve the quality of life in PL. While none of them were really considered, I believe this one dungeon would greatly improve the amount of time people spend in game, as well as drive an incentive to purchase platinum or complete IronSource offers.

The basis is simple. A farming only set of dungeons based on the three OCD (Omnipotent Crown of Dreams) helmets. Farming only indicates that no XP will be generated here regardless of level. Its sole purpose is the pursuit of a number of new and rare items providing a permanent avenue to sought after items.

Here is a quick summary of what the new map would look like.

1. There would be 3 dungeons within the map, each slightly harder than the last.
2. These maps would be available AT ALL TIMES to anyone level 10 and above.
3. There are two options to running a dungeon: Solo or Group. Running solo will make the mobs slightly easier than a group run. Group runs where player levels vary, the mobs will scale to the level of the highest level character.

As far as item drops, there will be extremely rare Elite sets for each stat (Dexterity, Intelligence, and Strength) as well as two new extremely rare vanity pieces. One Armor, and one Shield. The Elite set levels will drop in level increments (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100). For example, a level 19 drops a piece armor from an Elite set. The piece of armor will be level 10. A level 91 drops an Elite weapon. That weapon will be level 90. Each Elite set from this dungeon will be the best set there is for that level (With the EXCEPTION of level 50+ due to pure stat weapons, and level 105+).

Here is each dungeon within the map laid out along with what each one drops.

Level 1: Golden Dreams

The layout would have a similar style to Sandstone caves except replace the rocky structures with Golden Clouds. The clouds would have pink lines of light running through them like veins.

The level would have approx. 100 mobs. The design of these mobs could be anything but a few random ideas include some Floating Ghosts as well as Electric Cloud mobs.

All mobs must be cleared to spawn the boss. The boss would be wearing the complete Golden Omnipotent set (I will describe the set just a bit later).

Level 2: Silver Dreams (unlocks after completion of previous). Increase mobs to 120. Map layout is Silver Clouds with blue streaks of light running through them. Option to solo or group just like previous. All details the same except for drops. Boss will be wearing completed Silver OCD set.

Stats of Silver are the exact same of Gold; however, they would most likely be worth more as they are more difficult to obtain due to having to clear more mobs per run.

Level 3: Onyx Dreams (Unlocks after completion of previous). Increase mobs to 140. Map is black clouds with red veins of light. Boss wears completed Onyx OCD Set.

Stats of Onyx are the exact same as Silver and Gold except slightly harder to obtain(140 mobs).


Completed OCD set:
In a few moments, you will see photos of my personal drawings of what I'd envision each item to look like. To save myself time, every item is drawn as it would look for the Silver OCD set and the Silver Elite set. Onyx and the normal set would look identical with the exception of different colors. I should also mention; I drew each piece by hand and fairly quickly so you'll have to try a bit to imagine what it might look like in game as i'm terrible with any sort of drawing or animation on a computer.

The full OCD set will require you to wear the vanity Helmet, Armor, and Shield of matching color. Set effects include flames emitting from OCD helmet horns. Flames coming the eyes and mouth of shield and flames coming from the wings of the OCD armor. Pink flame for gold, blue for silver, red for black.

Set bonus: +1k Health and Damage in all PVE maps. (This may seem powerful, but in many cases, I can see the new Raging set being used to PVE due to 2x dmg along with gold loot and luck [thought it may depend on your daily elixir]. The OCD set is also meant to be extremely rare.)

PLATINUM:
While this dungeon would be free to farm at any time and you may receive any of the drops, trading or selling the vanity items will require them to be crafted. Once you receive a vanity drop, you will head to Dream Towne and talk to the Crafter.

For all OCD Chestplates, the cost will be : 400 Platinum.
For all OCD Shields, the cost will be : 200 Platinum.

You will still receive the set bonus without crafting the items, but if there is any intention to sell or trade, you must craft them at these prices.
The Elite sets will not require platinum for trading or selling.

Still under the platinum section is some new special Elixirs.
1. OCD Crowns:
Cost - 10 Platinum
Duration - 1 hour
Effect - For the entire hour, OCD helmets will be added to the loot table.

2. OCD Mania:
Cost - 60 Platinum
Duration - 1 hour
Effect - For the entire hour, TWO bosses will spawn after clearing all mobs in any of the 3 dungeons, effectively doubling your farming efficiency.


In addition to the elixir to farm OCD helmets, I believe a reduction in price in the platinum store is due.

300 Platinum for Gold
400 Platinum for Silver
500 Platinum for Onyx

To imagine of Onyx set looks like, replace all grey with black and all blue with red. Replace all grey with gold and blue with pink to imagine what the original set looks like.


Please leave feedback and comments guys. I really think something like this could add more long term life into the game instead of sporadic activity due to events. And I should also note, that these dungeons would not hinder event participation either, as the event items will be unique to that event while these dungeons are permanent.

Definitely an interesting idea. Makes sense from a business standpoint as well. This gives players something to work for as well as supplies gear to the less fortunate that can’t afford pvp while STILL including exclusive items to those who pay plat.

I hope cinco doesn’t just brush over this one. :)

Perhaps an easier way to implement this would be to have every boss in the game have a 1 in x chance of dropping one of these items, with the level 2 and 3 ones having lower drop rates. Where x is any integer between like 100,000 and 1m (to keep up the rarity).

Some new non-endgame dungeons to run would be cool though.

True. I’d rather just have new dungeons tho. Bring something a little more interesting to the game,, sick of all the new content being exclusively for those who dump months and hundreds of dollars into this game.

I love these threads.

You have place much thought and effort into your designs and they are really cool.

I too have always like the OCD helms and you have made them into sets and created dungeons and even a concept to craft these bonus sets with platinum.

Much and love and support for this. Thank you for your passion for PL. Lets hope one day your designs will be used as a backbone for new maps.

While that’s an interesting idea, I personally think it’s simpler to pack it all into one set of dungeons and be able to specifically farm for certain sets in one area :). Like if I run Silver Dreams, I know the good drops will be Silver if I’m targeting that color.

And maybe just a breath of fresh air to run some new dungeons.

Bump I suppose... I still think this is a fantastic idea :)
