Mage respecing. For cap lvl elite runners.

Guys i see posts on the forums all the time and i know you guys give awesome answers,, so. i was wondering what kind of skill set would be best for a cap lvl mage. Everyone must have settled down with a skill set of their own and managed pretty well. Im having trouble lately doing elite bosses and staying alive. Since its free respec week Id appreciate some answers from all u mages out there who can elaborate^
Please. Post ur thoughts here or shed some light on the topic if u will.

By the way im looking for a skill set thats..
-useful at handling mobs
-staying alive. Life support? I guess.
-effective at handling fights with really really strong bosses. Elite oltgar and shuyal n stuff. I understand that pots are rlly important.

Passives: Int and Str

This is better posted in the sorcerer forum. But here is what I use. 4/5 fire, 4/5 ice, 4/5 time shift, 3/5 shield, 5/5 passive int, 5/5 passive str, 5/5 passive damage and I am full int. I don't use life giver because it doesn't do anything for me that pots don't. If you want to be mana support for the party then take out shield and add life giver. But if you want to survive elite bosses IMO shield is a must. You may look at wind now with its 50% armor boost. But for my playing style, I need fire, ice and time shift for mob control. Equipment for survivability, look at champions cloth or noble garments of security or will. If you use int/str equipment, this makes shield even better. Bonechill robe of fatality is good for damage (and cheap) but you sacrifice some hp & armor.

Oh and my old skill set was
Fire/4 -excluding reduce enemy dodge chance upgrade
Gale/4 -excluding stun upgrade
Time/5
Heal/4 -excluding range upgrade

Here is my build, kinda tankish Mage.

Stat points, 70 to str and the rest 110 to int.

Skill point,
fire 4/5 (excluding last upgrade)
Time Shift 4/5 (excluding second upgrade)
Ice 5/5
Heal 2/5 (just mana upgrade)
Passive int, armor and str

I use Champion of Will gear to get health and armor.
As pet I use Koko to give me 80 more armor.

You can get 3k health with 900+ armor with this build.
Your dmg will be low (203 for me with borean gun) but your survivality and crowd control is awesome.

Current spec, before and after free respec trials:

Abilities:

4/5 Fire
4/5 Ice
5/5 Time
2/5 Life

Passives:

5/5 Knowledge
5/5 Crit
5/5 Might

My first spec was 5/5 Dex instead of Might and I prefer the extra HP. 5% damage didn't notice much difference.

During free respecs I tried Gale Force. Its GREAT for PvE, one issue is its hard to kill a boss with it. I basically took out Ice to try this and clearing trash mobs are good, but when it comes to a boss you don't have a heavy hitting target skill. This was where Ice came into play.

FYI, my build is a slight variation of Gaieje's build that he posted and I give him all the credit he deserves because this build is solid for PvE.

Dude I use Gaieje's Build which has all your skills 4/5 fire,ice and timeshift and 2/5 on heal(only the reover some mana) 5 points on int,dex and str/dmg/crit

it is like the one Keikali uses except with full dex passive and might can be replaced with damage or crit passive
