Make an option for te pet to stick to your side an not move, also = less lag

Sticking to side won't affect anything.
It has to follow you unless you want a command above that will command your pet to follow you or stay put and not make it an option.
Erk it's a pain when slag won't catch up when flagging lol
I expected slag to be like Glacian-throwing fireballs instead of using punches.

I agree. It's very hard to use your pets ability and be in range for it, especially a buffing ability that could help if someone comes in your way while flagging.

Ikr although it seems to have improved, I remember it seemed far worse in season 2.
Pretty annoying to have to backtrack a couple steps to get in range of arcane ability.
I was testing a low level pets arcane ability in the kings ditty, and was wondering where it went. Turns out it was attacking those broken carts at the beginning doing zero damage. So yeah, pets have issues, and they get distracted easily, just like real pets ;). A heel command would be nice.
