Devs-- Can it be Hammer Time!?

Why do you keep beefing 2handers--and all weapons--but don't change the Copperhead Wammo the Hammo dps? Yes, you gave it some stats- but The Croc spine gives me 79 dps now while the hammer is still giving me 60.
Swamp Rat's Croc Tooth Sword (1hander) is giving me 75 dps. I would much rather have a Zombie shield (now 19armor 7dodge 5h/s) and the sword than the occasional stun from this hammer. If something is going to be a no drop item (non-tradeable), which makes it one of the least attainable items in the game, why wouldn't it be better or at least comparable to other 2handers? Currently it is 10 dps behind the Blackmetal Claymore and 13 dps behind the Battlesword (and 19 behind the Croc Spine!). I don't understand why this hammer is getting nerfed!
