Is it just my neighborhood or has the Halloween spirit really declining over the years? :/
Barely any decorations up now :/
anyways happy Halloween every1 :)
Happy Hween!
Happening here as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it was because stores start preparing for Christmas before Halloween even passes, as Halloween makes less money. This appears to be leading to a decline in "Halloween spirit." Another reason could be that people have gotten tired of a certain group of people using Halloween as an excuse to dress up in less then respectable attire in public.
Or maybe there's no reason, no cause, and it's all just an illusion.
And happy Halloween. (:
Boo!
Did I scare ya
Lol, not even a single person has trick-or-treated at our house...gf
Same here but I guess that's what you get for not being near any towns or cities with just 1 neighbor.

I personally hate Halloween. The whole ordeal with people knocking on your door expecting candy gives a sense of entitlement. Plus, people take it way too far by even egging some houses that don't hand out candy. The most annoying thing is that you can't even ignore it. People come knocking on your door every few minutes to where you're forced to acknowledge it.
Not to mention the fact that people use it as an excuse to dress up likes tramps (although, that is one of the most redeeming qualities of it) and get wasted. Also leading to drunk driving with kids outside.
I for one would sooner skip right over Halloween to Thanksgiving and Christmas, holidays that actually have positive things surrounding them.
Edit: I deserve an award for typing that out at the lowest brightness setting. On the plus side, our electric bill will be cheaper this month.
Ages of fun halloween: 2-12.......18+ for a whole nother reason;)
