Do I need pik items if other items have higher stats?

Seems a really obvious question but say for instance I had a Buwanda's Fiery Staff of Doom. This is a pink item with 30ish Int and 30-50 dmg. If I then get a item with 60 int and higher dmg do I go for the higher stat item?

Im presuming if this is the case the pink ite is just the rarity of the item rather than the dmg/stats?

Is that because of the way they look tho? Id rather have a orange high INT/DMG than a pink with not much Int Dmg.

Is your lower stat pink of a lower level than the orange item?

So 2 examples

lv 15 pink item 40 int 30-50 dmg
lv 10 orange 60 int 40-60 dmg

lv 15 pink item 40 int 30-50 dmg
lv 20 orange 60 int 40-60 dmg

So in the 2 cases above I would always go for the higher INT value regardless of colour...however if there is a reason behind why you would choose the pink I would like to know (sorry just getting my head round the colour of items :))

In theory for the same level a pink is superior BUT there are "useless" pinks out there so, yes... just go with the best item regardless of colour. :P

In case of dmg, it's also very important to look at skill dmg. It could very well be that the weapon with lower base dmg actually adds more to your skill dmg. Another thing to keep in mind is weapon procs.

For the dmg part, you can go to the skill menu and select a random skill and read min/max dmg, then change the weapon and go back to that menu to see if min/max dmg has become better or worse.

Unless u are a twink at a specific level, so if ur lvl 20 then u would rather get the l20 instead of l10 if u want to pvp or need extra help with the stats

Until level 50, wear whatever looks "cool" and "sparkly". Since that's what most people do anyways.
