A normal crit increases your dmg by 25%
the crit% is your chance of getting a critical attack, the higher it's, the more chance you have of critting.
Curious just started messing with nox so don't know much about it. Does the poison critical?
That is if you choose the appropriate upgrade for lightning. And yes, it's 250% :)
I'm not 100% sure because I haven't actually tested it, but seeing that other dot ticks seem to be able to crit, I'd guess nox's dot will most probably crit too.
After testing nox a bit. I really don't think the poison dot crits. With 25% crit and with aimshot get around 60-70% critical. I don't see poison criting.
250% upgrade of lightning and aimed shot is not 250%. They messed up digits. Sadly :(
I've always wondered what the Bonus Damage% meant.
Could it be that Crits=20% normally, and that the Bonus Damage% is a multiplier, so 200% Bonus Damage% would yield a 40% Crit?
Never got a good explanation of what the Bonus Damage% stat means, so that is my guess.
I think its really difficult to tell how the crit really affects your damage output. Mainly because I don't really understand how the bonus damage affects anything.
I mean, a normal aimed shot will generally hit 400-500 damage. A crit aimed shot hits anywhere from 900-2.5k damage for me. So I cannot really get a grasp on how the damage works.
Yeah, I think this is exactly what I'm saying. I should read first.
Thinking about the subject more:
If you do 500 DMG with Aimed Shot and you have the 250% Crit upgrade, and you have 200% Bonus Damage%, theoretically, your total Crit on Aimed Shot could be 3K -
2.50 (for crit upgrade)
x2.00 (for Bonus Damage)
------
5.00 (Total critical multiplier)
x500 (DMG)
------
2500 Total Damage on Crit with Aimed Shot
This might explain why I've seen 2.5 - 3K damage on an Aimed Shot that Crits.
Does this make sense?
