What Happened to SL?

Remember back when playing wasnt about how much money you have or how many napalms you got. I even remember a time about a month ago where one guy had like 7 napalms!! Hoarder much?!! What happened? SL used to be about having fun with friends. Now every time you turn a corner you get scammed. You also have those people that will make you overpay to buy something and underpay when you're selling. Can we atleast try to go back to the time when you got respect for helping people and not about how much money you have. And also why do we need 689 of the same item?!? Dont you only need one to use it?? Plz SL community make this game fun again.

Well, to be honest

I started playing last july and I 'm sure that SL did changed.

Scammers, there are a lot. tha's why there is a scammer guide for new players.

Holding a Napalm seems to be a kind of "Supremacy", we feel like people would add us as friends because we have napalms. Plot twist, they are not adding you for the nap, more because they need help to level up or just adding randomly.

If you are looking for helping people, look for the right guild. Some guilds are for merch, some for PVP, some for CTF, some are casual guilds, some are Warlords guild and some promote helping. If you are an old guildie, telling the cause of your leave to the GM is a good idea to keep friendship and contact in the case where you want to come back. f your guild promotes help, keep doing it!

Other than that, Ik that some items are getting overpriced, people are being fed up, some do cap more than once, some stay for friends and relax. Idk

When i left SL, it went downhill and now there are only scammers and few addicted guys who cant stop playing it for some reason (Adbulsweet, Xmanxx, Drioyard, Uafaud...)

True. But there are still nice players out there joining every moment.

MOST of the people I know and see are very nice people. It is right that the number of scammer is higher, but there are so many good people too, look at the right place and choose the right friends!

I might start playing SL again :)

Out goes the good and in comes the bad

SL has been going downhill ever since it lost its main support, and it fell so easily because it doesn't have any core content that will stand over long periods of time (Like PL which has many things to stay alive over long periods). This led to many of the great and honorable players from abandoning ship and heading off to other games while the scammers then see this as an opportunity to take advantage of the new players and harvest what they can from the dying SL community.

Who knows what will happen now. Maybe STS will do as the company that made Loadout and just get enough money with not-so-great titles to make the game that they wanted to in the first place.

I've tried all 4 games, but personally I think SL still has the most potential.
Mainly because there're not a lot of Sci-Fi mmorpg's out there, but there're certainly lots of fantasy mmorpg's, too many of them.

What STS really needs to do is

1. stop creating more "legends" for a while, 4 is more than enough to keep them busy.
2. Take references from other games, this cheap tactic seems very despicable but a lot of the gaming companies use it, and by doing so it might achieve a deja vu effect, which would potentially attract more players. (Like creating campaigns/equipments that resembles other famous sci-fi movies/games, or simply signing a contract of some sort with the other companies to advertise)
3. Instead of creating more "legends" to give rise to those brief "highs", actually maintain a game for once.
4. Read the feedback and suggestions, plenty of good ideas there, they just need attention...

1. Agreed, though I could think of like a jillion "legends" now (modern legends, ancient legends, pony leg - oops haha)
2. I would like to see you wearing a full set of MLJONIR armor :3
3. This is what's happening to AL atm, "AL high." Don't expect them to maintain AL if they create another "legend."

I personally think since javier and gison left.

SL is but a memory that infuriates me. How could I be so naive. Sigh....

I know, but I had some good memories from SL. So that's the only thing I thanks SL for.

sl is like a double edged blade, it has so many sentimental properties to it, as I'm sure everyone feels the same about that part, tons of great moments, but once that all got taken away you kinda start to resent it a little, not cause of the game itself but because of the lack of attention it's received, pretty much turned into one of those games that there's people in even if it's not much but there just like the npc really no community anymore, go to a blackstar it's like everyone's a zombie dead silent, definitely not how I remember it
