Its dat regen doe!

I find regen in PvP to be a little unfair. Take for example, a bird has to kite now. So I'm kiting a bear, get in a lot of damage, and either he walks out of my range and regens or regens after my burst or walks out of range regens and as Im trying to stay in range is able to beckon me.

I think that they should take regen ONLY IN PVP and when ever you enter combat, your regen goes to about 1/3 or 1/2 of what it is. But when you exit combat it goes back to it regular stats. This allows it so that regen doesn't out do the damage done, but you still have some at least.

What did birds do before

Either you just aren't very good with bird, or you're one of them people that are still crying about the birds not being super op anymore. Bird have always had to kite against bears to kill them easily, with the exception of running at them after they miss beckon. Birds don't have to kite at 12m, I sure don't. I use recurve, and I can hit blind and start running at the bear, by the time I get to him, he dies, or I just stay out of his slashes range. It really isn't that hard, just L2fitebehr

That is actually not a bad idea... It would certainly solve those endless battles in lvl 5-10.

That, or people are forgetting how to use the roots. (except endgame where too mucb dodge)
And a bird should be able to do enough damage to a bear at once so he dies..

I believe I'm very decent with bird. Its just unfair when you have 140% plus hit and they dodge everything, but they have around 60% and you get nuked.

Learn to repulse then..? I don't see where birds can't successfully kill bears... I mean ofc bears can get super lucky dodges and hit beckon stomp sms, but its sort of a bird's "duty" to be able to kill bears. Good luck, but regen is a big part of PvP, its not getting taken out.

Umm hit and dodge are 2 completley different tactics. Hit determines whether you hit or miss an attack if you have 100% hit you'll notice you will never miss. So 200% hit is almost pointless but its good because many debuffs lower it. So if you have 150% hit and your opponent has 50 dodge YOU will NEVER miss but your oppnonent has a 50% chance of dodging.

He must be use to pre-nerf, when birds ran straight at each other and used blast, when birds would have a ridiculous amount of dodge and hs/beckon never hit. When bears would be the ones who kited, and birds would run around acting like they own pvp.

Now bears are op, and regen isnt the reason. Bird's regen skill is much more effective then bears. Granted, the savage set has more regen then swift, but birds that have their regen skill high get up to +100 hp + 5 second regen.

Time for ctf. Let's say you get to the enemy team's flag after beating them, but you're pretty hurt. You wouldn't be able to have the health to fight back or even tank, especially because your buffs will most likely be gone also. What would you do? Wait to be in combat to regen? You'd be dead by then.

Edit: and what about mana regen? You'd be out of mana before your opponent is dead. Especially mages.

@tourist: its not a bad idea. But you said "birds have to kite now", when did they ever not kite. Isn't that what ranged players do, and stay out of melee range. It's harder for a bird to kill a bear but its not impossible and not extremely hard. I've seen you use a talon and beat glyph bears, it takes more effort but still not too difficult.

Just for the record, the glyph mace every bear is using should be nerfed, also the stats of the bears shud be as well.

To kill a 56 bear, you MUST kite to kill. So every bear who cries 'wao run moar' well kite them more.

Imo I'd say I rek as a bird at 50+ but then again I know plenty others that are better than me and can destroy me too so that's why I haven't necessarily developed an ego :P

Taking out regen just makes birds and bear very easy. Mages become op

Mages would be way op

the dodge is the problem not the regen, fort set is a great example, if the bear can escape to regen in that, it a pretty good bear.
Also I think birds need higher regen, maybe if restore increased regen amount per rank.

Not really sure why the devs still haven't fixed this they have plenty of dodge to just run through several combos and kill a bird with a gemstone sword
the 260 max dmg mace is just adding insult to injury
