Community Preview | 11/2/16 | Halloween Cooldown, Tier 10 Jewels, tweaks etc

Hey y'all!

Starting tomorrow, November 3rd, at approximately 1:30 PM CT:

Halloween is over

The Necropolis is shutting down for another year. It will be in cool-down for three days, which means you can turn in quests and spend your tokens, but the event PvE zones are no longer available. Be sure and spend any tokens you have left, because we'll be collecting them on Monday around 1:30 PM CT.

New Tier 10 Jewels

Exquisite Jewels can now be crafted into Precise Jewels. This brings a whole 'nother level of power to Jewels for those that craft their way up!

Expansion Tweaks

+ New daily quests are available from Rebisha in Chancel of Light; Every day you can complete 1 of 6 randomly chosen quests to kill a specific boss in the graveyard

+ Reduced the monster difficulty of Mausoleum floor 1 and Mausoleum floor 2. Bosses remain unchanged.

+ The Grave Distractions daily now correctly requires miniboss kills inside the Mausoleum. The number of kills required has been reduced from 16 to 5.

Bug Fixes

+ Replaced Large Cryostar Crates with Large Twilight Crates in Elite Zones

+ The Duskbringer's Claymore legendary twilight sword equipment modifier of +30% Damage and -30% Armor can no longer be removed by buffs/debuffs

+ Glacian's 'Crystal Barrage' passive attack damage has been increased slightly. Single target damage with Glacian fell off a bit too sharply with this passive attack.

+ Updated Fritters' Caption for Happiness Bonus to correctly reflect the 15% damage bonus, and not 12%

+ Epic crate gear now has the appropriate icon

Thank you for a fantastic event! Can't wait to actually see the leaderboard vanities roaming around town if I can actually spot them! Spooky! Hopefully this will spark more interest in the Mausoleum maps. Currently it's difficult to find random parties there due to the difficulty for most players.

I know I already said this in pm when I brought up the issue, but thanks so much once again Carapace for fixing the scaling of damage for Glacian's Max Passive! Since I bought him, I enjoy using him as base pet for pve because he's the only Arcane Pet with a Max Passive that has a 2 sec Root and chance to Freeze. On top of that he reminds me lot of my favorite Aegis weapon for war the Frost Touched Bulwark :).

what about the randomized mobs position problem? i hope you've found the fix...

and i agree with a friend's opinion that tier 10 jewel should have more than +10 stat. it takes 3 times more effort with time/gold for a mere constant increase. the ratio of reward per effort of increasing jewel tier is way too low, imo.

or yes, please add direct weak jewel drops from mobs and jewel elixir. and especially chaos jewel also needs a tweak, it can't be called as the best jewel to slot anymore, nor it's close to how good a primary stat jewel is. but i also hope you make all other jewel to have same quality/worth to be slotted as primary stat, and release them to all maps, with harder maps having higher chance to drop higher tier jewel.

and there is also this old bug that melee pets stop attacking sometime. from what i observed, it always happens if an enemy is at a slightly further range of a melee attack.

and about the expansion, tbh not having shared points nor shared access badge/proofs between accounts is really a deal breaker for people who likes playing with alt like me. tbh at least the access badge/proofs should be shared, just like how trader's permit is.

i figure because there was next to no reason to farm there compared to graveyard for the average person making a pug in maus about as common as the arcane lv 16 chest drop

Will we still be able to craft trophy during cool down? Will candy bowl continue to summon wolf after event? Sure hope it will.

How about people who got stuck at 1k tokens? Those coffers and jewel recipes are kinda waste tbh

also, isn't it the time already to give points to bosses/mini bosses?

i think you should be more generous in giving reward from bosses, especially because the effort to fight bosses should be counted start from the process of spawning it, not only the single boss fight. moreover, many will agree that we could get more pinks from mobs rather from bosses in the new maps, which is bad, imo

community will eventually find their way to farm-without-killing-boss methods, just like how most of us leveling up in underhul. which i believe, skipping boss is not part of your gameplay design.

also, i believe the lack of appropriate boss reward is also one of the reason that motivated people to bot first mobs kills.

If the new jewels are only going to be +10, then they will either be crazy overpriced, or you will have to make it so that up to weak jewels drop in maps, because it will take hundreds of thousands of crackers to craft even one, and the cost will be around 10-11 million for a +1 increase in stats, which is just crazy. I love this expansion, but sometimes i wish the days of gems were back, because good jewels are way to OP. :/

I'd tell you the secret and give you the keys to the kingdom, but if I told you, I believe STS would rush in and remove it. So instead, I will agree with you and say (as I've said in previous threads) that we need an increase in token capacity for balanced tokens. Especially now since nobody is going to be doing the miniboss daily quest anymore... gonna be a good solid 6 weeks before stage 3 if no intervention.

This was my first halloween event and i lived it , i hope theres is another next year, Lol from what i saw the top 5 players are all rogues Xd

The mausoleum difficulty is fine no need to change it's the loot that makes it unappealing to run same like graveyard only difference is symia which too impossible to loot like arcane chest, but i guess the babies won this round ohh well..

The event was a succes with your amazing vanities. The ghost kraken was a very good idea finally, the original one had tendance to be buy very frequently for an old vanity set so i guess you had a good feeling!

Why you didn't add the mention "2016" to the new Necropolis banner and "2015" to the old?

The leaderboard gone crazy and it's good to see peoples fighting for something.. You know what you have to do for noël now;)..

The only missing thing for me was new boss mechanics ( the first one "nekro" with his pools is horrible, also paracelsus spikes can be annoying even with a short lag, device) but i understand its not that easy to have.. One more time merci!

Looking forward to the new jewels, altrough difficulty change might wasn't necessary, cuz for better rewards you need to have a harder difficulty, but when all stages open it'll make sense. Ty for the update and glacian bug fix

Yes plz i dont wanna spend my tokens on something i dont want,esp since i worked hard farming them.please increase the amount of balanced tokens we all can hold.or at least let them be increased for those at lightbearers rank.or sumtinz ;-;

Mini bosses in mausoleum 2, give two tokens. Speaking as someone who ran mausoleum mostly past couple of weeks, I managed to do 5-6 bosses in a day or two.

Now with easier mobs people will be flocking to mausoleum for symia eggs and better drop rates for pinks +_+

I think the token cap acts as a buffer between people who can max out tokens in a week to people who can barely get 10-20 tokens a day. A balance if I may be punny ^_^
