Tips and Suggestions for Farming Relics?

Hey DL players, so...I'm a noob when it comes to farming relics. I just have a few questions for [awesome] people that have already obtained relic weapons and gems in the past. I'd greatly appreciate all of your responses. ^_^

1) Which location(s) is best for farming relics?
2) I've heard that Harg'kyth drops relics, but only if you don't break the stones, is this true? Plus, how does one defeat Harg'kyth without breaking the stones around him? I've tried it countless of times, but it's virtually impossible for me to do so. Is there a certain build for defeating him?
3) Any extra tips and suggestions? :)

Try this build:
Fire Aura (level 2)
Unholy Blessing (level 4)
Shadow Dance (Level 1)
Unrelenting Force (Level 1)
Passives: Damage (6) use your remaining points on Attack
Gems I use:
Crimson Blood Ruby Gem (36) Kriegberg Stone of Dispatching
(35)
Moontear Gemstone(36)
Petrified Fang (36)
Tips: Don't farm for relics until after the update :)

Hi Glitter,

In current game (before update)...

Relic weapons only drop at last mission (Harg). The relic hammer drops from Harg. The relic axes drop from the special purple execution bat that sometimes spawns. If you want to farm the hammer, kill harg as fast as you can, multiplayer is easiest. For axes, take your time killing harg, each wave of bats that spawns is another chance for the purple bat to come out.

The relic gem, fang drops from the execution named Grant that looks like a giant werewolf. He spawns in many missions but most hunt in him Fresnel Disturbing the Dead. He spawns on first right of the map.

The relic gem, moontear drops from the mad scientist. He has a chance at spawning in multiple maps but I am personally most lucky seeing him in Worlmen 1 or Crypt Sanitation.

And if you are lucky enough to find Grant, Mad Scientist, or the Purple Bat.... pause to invite 2 good friends/guild members (ideally ones that you know will hunt too). Then hopefully they will invite you in the future when they find them. By inviting each other, you get more chances to get a drop.

Thank you, Doom! ^.^ But does this mean the previous relic weapons will no longer be obtainable, but the same relic gems will still remain in the same locations even after the update?

I imagine that you can still obtain them. But hopefully they add higher versions of all the relic gems and weapons and the system drops the one that matches the level of your character.
