Chapter 1: Underground War


Mikhailov: “Our soldiers are ready to strike the infected heart of the Alterran Holy Palace from those monsters. While the UUSR fights on the high grounds, we will go deep to start an underground war. The sorceress, Silknight, demands all of her useless soldiers to defend her precious empire. The Rogue Elfguard, the Rogue Archers, and the Femme Fieras. But if we wipe them all out, the next name in our hunting list, will be Silknight…”

Muck Hovel, Balefort Sewers
There are three words that describe the Balefort Sewers. Disgusting, scorching, and 100% dangerous. Still, we were brave. Face any enemy in our way, he’ll be dead immediately. I was done taking a break in the restroom as I got out and equipped my rifle. Mikhailov was waiting for me in the small hallway.
Mikhailov: “Done? Good!”
As we went back to the Muck Hovel, there were hundreds of armed Rushians and there were several tents, too. They all made a circle and it seems that they have caught a person. Turns out it was a Rogue Elfguard, with black armor and a white skull mask.
Mikhailov: “What’s going on?” *asks one of the Rushian officers*
UUSR Officer: “We have caught a prisoner, Commander!”
UUSR Soldier #1: “TELL US WHERE YOUR FILTHY SOLDIERS ARE HIDING!” *hits prisoner’s face with rifle stock*
Rogue Elfguard: *laughs* “Why would I tell you in your front of your disgusting face, imbecile red?”
UUSR Soldier #1: “WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?!” *aims prisoner with his rifle*
UUSR Soldier: #2: “Stop! If we ask him politely, maybe he will-”
BAM! The prisoner’s mask bursted into splattering blood and he collapsed to the wet brick floor. Then, there was a small puddle of blood coming from his head. Mikhailov placed his revolver in his black gun pouch.
Mikhailov: “As I told you, never give mercy to enemies and traitors! Now, let’s go, my comrades!”
UUSR Soldier #1: “Stubborn like any Dark rebel…”
UUSR Soldier #2: “Meh…”
Mikhailov: “Two of the groups must go into the Roach Motel and the Catacombs! The rest of you, follow me! Grab a torch! They are going to ambush us, but they will not succeed killing us all…”
About 50 soldiers including me, marched into one of the sewer tunnels, the “Bandit Boy Hideout”. Equipped our rifles with sharp bayonets and heavy machine guns, we ran into the tunnel. We’ve passed While running, the tunnel loudly rumbled as if we were in the middle of an earthquake.
UUSR Soldier: “Commander, our artillery is destroying the city!”
Mikhailov: “Good! They will fear the sounds of our rockets and will incinerate them into pieces!”
When we were about to make a turn to the left, he suddenly stopped with a halt and crouched. All of us did the same thing, too.
Mikhailov: “Shh… Rebels…”
Mikhailov: *grabs me a binocular* “Comrade, go take a look…”
As I looked into the binoculars, below, there were a lot DA soldiers, but most of them looked like armed civilians with black tunics. Equipping with daggers and scoped crossbows.
Mikhailov: *muttering* “Silknight knew that we were coming underground the sewers… Soldiers, grab a molotov cocktail… We are going to burn them into ashes…”
There was a quiet rummaging of equipping molotovs and and matches. As we ignited them, Mikhailov shouted.
Mikhailov: “FIRE!”
From above, a huge rain of flaming molotovs went crashing and the whole underground battlefield. Flames were everywhere and most of the rebels were on fire, howling with agony. We ran to the metal balcony between the two stairs and start shooting at them. The ones with the heavy machine guns quickly set up and started mowing down like bears catching salmon. Bullets went flying out from our rifles and machine guns as the sounds of the gunfire traveled in into our ears as we kept firing, showing no mercy.
Mikhailov: “KEEP SHOOTING!”
One by one, I shot every soldiers and I didn’t even miss one round! The archers were behind one of the oil barrels for cover. I grabbed a molotov from my belt. Ignited it, and threw it at the oil barrels. KA-BOOM! The barrels bursted into huge explosives and the Rogue Archers were even burning more! More DA soldiers and the Bandit Boys keep arriving from every room but fortunately, the ones firing with heavy machine guns killed all of them. It was like hunting fish in the spawns.
UUSR Soldier #1: “There’s too many of them!”
UUSR Soldier #2: “They are trying to go upstairs!”
UUSR Soldier #3: “We’re almost of ammo!”
Mikhailov: “During the siege of Forest of Haven, we kept fighting and never give up without a fight! Do you hear him complaining?!”
Seems to me that the rebels from all over the rooms were coming no more. We’ve killed them all. Now, the large room was nothing but deceased Dark Alterran soldiers, plus the Bandit Boys. Mikhailov: “We have shown them no mercy because they did not give mercy to the Elf Queen’s people. We have not lost a single soldier. Move out!”
We ran downstairs from the balcony as we passed the bloodbath. None of the soldiers were alive. We must’ve wiped all of them out. There was a dark tunnel that lead to the exit of the Balefort Sewers.
Mikhailov: “Once we get out of the sewers, the Elf Queen will be pleased that we have cleaned her underground city from those foolish demons.”
