Level 19 Questions

So I heard L19 is pretty active now and I have a few questions about it:

1. What is a good pet for mage at this level?
2. What is the best gear for mage and how expensive is it?
3. What is a good build for a mage at this level?
4. Is there anything I should know, in general, about this bracket?

Glad to hear you're considering coming to Lv19.
If I were you I'd spend no more than 20k on gears because the point of this bracket is to have fun at a cheap price. So you only need to buy rare gears (green rare), which drops like rain on dead city maps.

If more people like the idea of an affordable bracket for everyone, should be a lot of fun.

I don't know much about PvP mages, so this is just a general advice for any class.
