No, having a discount for arcane eggs is enough. The prices of the arcane eggs are Slowly dropping. Plat players will always have an advantage over free to play. Enjoy the event, good legendary and mythic pets are still available for anyone.
Although don't be disappointed, they may end up giving it. Rarity means nothing if everyone has it.

Arcane eggs dropping is a terrible idea. People who were hoarding mythic and other legendaries already lost millions. Lucky egg went from 7-10m before event down to 100k. Have always been against free item events, prices may never recover.
Increasing the spawn rate would be nice ;)
This event is fine as it is
1/4 players get mythic egg in 80% cases, that's already good to make some moneys
