new Slain King Weapon for Mage

This is just my personal reveiw for the new craftable slain king wep for mage.
When i finished crafting this wep i was rather excited to see how the proc worked.
It took a while buying/farming all the materials to craft so i thought it might have an amazing proc to make up for the bad stats of the wep itself.

Boy was i wrong :(

Sts i love the idea of summoning "minnions" for sorcerers but the one this staff summons does very minuscule damage to anything.. Not to mention,when it does actually proc, the gmones summon behind/far past the area u are shooting at.

As u can see the gnomes themselves do very very little dmg.the pic above is a mob i lured into a gnome bomber . Keep in kind this is in the first map in brackenridge.....a whole 25dmg :(

Idk if it was meant to be this weak but would be cool to hear from one of the designers of this wep.

+1 to the designer for creativity it sounds really cool in theory!

P.s would be amazing if the lil bombers would chase enemies xD

I agree..it takes so much just to craft one!

The stats are bad as well. Jords staff of brut has about 30 damage over it. Why it's an of force type is beyond me. Should have been brut or potency for damage or health. Force and fatality were always the worst type of mage weapons.

Thank you very much for that. Tbh honest I expected the proc to be mediocre or too rare, but 25 damage on normal in the first map of the game... Really surprisingly bad!

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately expected it to be pretty awful, I hate when you guess something is going to be bad and it comes true.

Staggering! Just absolutely staggering, I tell you!

This reminds me of eloia bow proc which summons plants that do damage. Sounds cool but when I tested it it did something like 60 damage per tick for about 5 or 8 ticks (hard to count since it doesn't root enemies and they can just walk through/away from it). So not very much damage at all.

I think we like procs and developers put time into designing these weapons so it would be better if these types of procs did more damage.

All i can say is: Im totally disappointed and like Jexetta said i saw this coming but at least i was stpd enough to give it a try and buy all the recipes and stuff.

Stats are so baaaaaaaaad! Imho damage stats should be at least at the brutality version of the cheap pink jords staff or the proc is good... but hey the proc on jords staff is also better then the one on the "powerfull unholy" slain staff! Why is it so hard to give sorcs good buffs? Don't you have any ideas? Kershal`proc was a joke and now this new proc is even worse...

It's disappointing, really. All the new mage weapons are staffs. We have exactly ONE good legendary alternative for PvP and that is the boulder gun. Rogues have the eloia bow (we have Jord's OP walking stick), warriors have dirt thumper, the red ax thing, Galen's maul. Sad. :/

Anyway, if the weapon is decent, I'm totally fine with a new staff. Just...make it decent. The new weapon proc sounds great and would totally make up for the stats - if it, like, actually did anything. Summon a minion who does as much damage as an arcane pet? Awesome, I'm in!
