Imo

For passives always go for melee pets, because its easier for the aa to hit targets.
Grimm gloom are really good, as they hit multiple targets and apply debuffs to them. If u cant afford em...

Sameul as base pet for its passive attack. Ideal for pve.
Singe for its aoe dmg and high health happiness bonus. Ideal for elite and pvp i think. (I dont do pvp)

Sts wants to bring the age of map farmers back again.
