Well i havent played SL yet so i guess operative is the equivilent of archer and if thats true then even in PL the enimies have some long range wepons. You need to go into a level with some commandos...

Balefort castle, forest haven, lost expedition, swamp, balefort sewers, alien oasis, meathead idle (not sure bout that one), fathon crypt, and sandstone caves.
