You must remember that during sewers, there were no 4X elixirs/Trasher's to ease the 83k xp. So you can't exactly compare the Sewer grind and the Humania grind.

Yes, I think that it was something about the iPhone/iPod UI getting switched with the iPad UI... Well in anycase the devs are probably working on fixing the problematic skill icon sizes, etc.
