Wouldn't the guild xp thing have conflict with the current system?

What I mean is that if low level twinks went with 100% contribution, they wont gain any levels but they would gain kill counts....

Your calculations are a bit off.
Count in the factors of bad teams, waiting time etc.
With 4X and a random team, I got about 10-12K XP per hour.

I believe that a majority of PL players have a very wrong mindset towards "Legendary" pink items.

Pinks are taken for granted and they do not live up to the title of "Legendary".
