I'm pretty sure that STS wants to make profit off of something that they have made, the more money the better for them and us. Pocket Legends gets better because they work on it and they work on it...

I actually thought of doing this with multiple accounts but it wasn't worth the effort at all, it never occoured to use different toons though :L oh well it's kind of cheating in my opinion anyway.
