Why are the ranges of Arcane ability of some pets so small?

For eg: Colton, Aspen, Shiloh...etc.
Some of them are legendary and epic pets...

Colton definitely needs a look at. For as much work as it takes to buy him, put him at the top of the priority list!

yea i hate the look on the arcane ability it seems so small

but when i use horton's ability it seems really small but gets some that aren't in the radius it's really weird
