/guildhall = Subscription?

Anyone else notice this? Couldn't find another thread on it. I hope it doesn't mean what I think it means...

So I'm sitting in town and decide to type "/" to see some of the commands. I see this pop up:


Interested me since I hadn't seen that command before. I had noticed devs have been adding quite a few commands lately, most of which do not work (such as the /skiptutorial), so I tried it:

So, is our nightmare coming? Where the game requires even more $ to enjoy than it does now??

Forgot about it honestly. I'll be disappointed if they decide to take this route.

I think developers commented on something like this before in PL if I remember correctly.

Developers said something along the lines of some of those hidden elements, like subscriptions, were just features they were trying out. In regards to subscriptions, I don't think it was implemented and the coding structure for it was just left behind as it wasn't interfering with the game.

Yup, legacy stuff that's not used anymore. FWIW, looking at the code, /guildhall would have allowed you to enter the guild hall from anywhere if you had subscription.

Selling convenience and not advantages ... now there is something hard to argue with, and my lazy self just might find enough energy to open my wallet for it
