Constant patch updates on android?

Hi,
I havent played STS games for a while, i returned and played new AL and now im lvl 23. (i miss PL tho).
However, whats up with the constant patch updates? i have to update almost twice everyday, this is really getting annoying.
I play AL on galaxy s3 4.1.2 jellybean.

Plus sometime it put me off from playing when im away from home. Take a while to update using mobile data and this is happening almost everyday... :S
