I don't suggest you buy the nexus 10 now. If you're looking for a fix right now definitely go with the nexus 7 which has just had its latest iteration released at 229$ for the base model. Aside from the Toshiba thrive tablets ( 500$+) that are packing tegra 4 it is currently the best performing android tablet not to mention the sharpest tablet display. It is considered "retina" quality although that's obviously an apple patent. It has a 1920x1200 resolution. On its 7.1' screen that gives you a 323ppi (the IPad 4 has a ppi of 264). If you must have a nexus 10 though I highly suggest you wait it out a few months as the next iteration shouldn't be far off.
