Yesterday i checked up 4.3. Using Cyanogenmod 10.2 for S3
It was good, Focal&Picsphere really amazing. Its smooth ROM aswell. But the roots still bugged. Whenever i flash it via cwm it Unroot my S3.

So i should wait till it become nightlies.

Oh you poor souls on Samsung devices. Even on the most recent Samsung phones(and pretty much every other non nexus device) the wait will be a few months. That is, if you get it at all. Google made it a bit more difficult this time around; in the past with their OTA updates they would automatically flash a stock recovery but this time I had to flash the AOSP image on my own since they've dropped that feature.

I see a couple of you have the Nexus 7. Do you have any input for a 1st tablet buyer? I was thinking of saving for the nexus 10 as suggested by consumer reports

I don't suggest you buy the nexus 10 now. If you're looking for a fix right now definitely go with the nexus 7 which has just had its latest iteration released at 229$ for the base model. Aside from the Toshiba thrive tablets ( 500$+) that are packing tegra 4 it is currently the best performing android tablet not to mention the sharpest tablet display. It is considered "retina" quality although that's obviously an apple patent. It has a 1920x1200 resolution. On its 7.1' screen that gives you a 323ppi (the IPad 4 has a ppi of 264). If you must have a nexus 10 though I highly suggest you wait it out a few months as the next iteration shouldn't be far off.

Devices with the ability to attain this update are releasing frequently. HTC One has confirmed release and my ASUS Transformer is currently updating as well. I suspect Samsung and other devices are only a few days away as was the case with the last update back in the spring.

While I admit months is a bit outlandish, days is too optimistic. It would be incredible if android was highly optimized to suit the specs of its phones like apple does with its products. The android app ecosystem would be far ahead of the app store due to the sheer number of android devices. Because this is not the case a dual core 1.2 GHz iPhone can keep paces with the likes of the quad core 1.9 GHz galaxy s4 but a 1.2 GHz dual core android phone is sluggish and unresponsive. The reason it takes longer for most other devices to receive the latest version of android is because carriers and manufacturers have to test out all of their apps (aka bloatware) and load them into the package.
