    Just my 2 cents.
I have this feeling that anyone who has the money to merch a death set isn't too new to the game.

This is a scam by STS's definition, and it is bannable and definitely reportable.
A similar scam, less formidable, is that a person lists an item X in CS and states "if you buy X, I will give you Y".
(Y is worth substantially more than X, and thus newer players fall bait to this.)

In the case of this type of scam yell out loud that "it's in cs for less listed by "x" stop spamming and buy it yourself, that is unless you don't think we all know that you are "x", don't be a noob scammer, do you think we're dumb ect.."

Or those double gold guys, just point out that their wearing 2k worth of gear therefore it's obvious to everyone that they can't do what they say, so quit being a nubscammer.
They usually run from me quickly.

The added benefit is that anyone in that town that didn't know how the scam worked may now understand how it works.
I like calling out the "selling promo codes" BS.

This trick only works when the victim makes an assumption about what price he/she can sell the items for. In this respect, anyone who tries to "buy low and sell high" is potentially going to get stuck with an item he/she can't offload for more than it was bought for. Obviously losing money buy and selling gear is not a scam, because you never really know what buyers will pay or when they'll change their minds. This specific "scam" is just a case of someone trying to goad others into into making a bad decision, and is one of the oldest cons around.

Of course this doesn't excuse the behavior, and PL would be a better place without these people. So as long as STS considers it a scam, report away. It seems to me like this would require a lot of effort for STS to prove that's what the person was doing though.

In the real world there are companies, i.e. Banks, that do that to commodities and food. They say that they are "making a market", and people/sheeple believe them, but they are still scammers. So yes, it's smart and a scam.

So...does that mean my local grocery store is scamming me?

And why would anyone sell promo codes when you can just ASK another player for them.

    I call them out too.

'Its listed for X, buy it yourself!" They will usually go away once it becomes obvious that they are trying to trick people by continuing to yell out a price higher than it is listed for in CS.

I still think it would put a stop to the " I got scammed stuff " if stg would take player to player trades out of the game. It would slow the spam to

Today Oakwi made a thread about how he got scammed and got locked. I went in game and called the guy out and told him how he is gonna get banned since it was posted in forums. The little kid got so scared that he told me he was gonna give the stuff back to Oakwi as soon as he logs in. Good luck Oakwi

I'm currently tracking down the major yolasite scam circle.

I accidentally met up with one of the members of this circle and I am currently trying to know how many ppl are involved in that specific circle.

Here's the page that yola wants people who violate their tos reported,
    https://www.yola.com/support/contact/report-abuse
It seems like they have no weekend support, but when I've reported a site on the weekend it's pulled early Monday.

But it sounds like your goin undercover a bit. I wonder if any of those guys have Alts in other guilds?
