Jumping guild list

Please Please stop live updates for guild roster, we have a large guild and trying to hit a name near the bottom is very frustrating with people going on and off line making the list jump about.

Yeah, this is a good idea. Maybe the guild list should be updated once every minute, but not every second.

Also sorting would be good, class, area, etc

If you stop live updates, you wont be able to find the 'join' button if a spot gets clear in your friend's map.

How about the list only being updated when you aren't looking at it?

For example Player A is looking at the guild page. Guildmate A is in TDM. Guildmate B is going to log out. When Guildmate B logs out, the list stays the same with the only difference being that Guildmate B is now listed as offline. After Player A closes the guild page, the list will be updated and it will "jump."

How about a simple search box to find the person you are looking for. Kind of like how we all have that search box at the top of our email inbox.

Just make it alphabetical, regardless if the toon is online or offline

@Alfred, we have 4.4k members so that will not work.

@Energizeric, yes this should be there.

@Ebezaanec, good solution easy to implement.

@Defamed, it does not have to work like that, the individual table cells (the members) can still be live just not the table.

Very good point. I think you just came up with the solution. Keep the individual member boxes live (with regard to updating whether they are online, or if you can join them) but do not update the sort order of the cells while you are viewing the list, only update this when you leave and then come back to the list. There could even be a "refresh" button at the top.

This is a really bad idea, what If you want to join a guildmate in a room? Nobody wants to scroll down so many times just to do so.

Do you notice the party page? Even if someone goes offline, it wont 'jump' or disappear. Something like that should work..

I actually want this system even in friends list. sick n tired of wrong pt invites :/
