Acronyms, Definitions and Terms all in one handy dandy thread
This thread contains all definitions, acronyms, and terms used in PL. Enjoy
A~
AFAIK- As far as I know.
AFK- Away from keyboard, which is usually accompanied with a reason.
Aggro- This is a term used when a monster is "awakened" and will start to attempt to chase/attack you.
Aggro Radius- The area around the monsters, when entered, will activate/"wake up" them and they will attempt attack you.
AKA- Also known as.
AO- Alien oasis. (ao1/ao2/ao3)
AOE- Area of Effect, certain weapons, when used, not only hit the monster/player, but also any other close targets.
ASAP- As soon as possible.
Avatar- The graphical representation of a player in a game.
B~
B>/B- Buying.
Bale- Balefort Castle.
BBIAB- Be Back in a Bit.
BRB- Be right Back.
BRT- Be Right There.
BSM- Blacksmoke mountain.
BTW- By the Way.
Buff- To use spells or skills to increase you characters stats. (Dodge/Armor/Attack)
Bug- A glitch or technical problem in the game.

Camping- To wait in one area (pvp) (ctf) and kill another player as they come into range. [Also see "Spawn," or "Rush."]
Con- Consider.
CoP- Crown of Persistence.
Crit- Critical hit.
CS- Consignment Store. (In Balefort)
CYA- See you later.
D~
DBC- Death by chat.
Dc/Discon/Disc- Short for disconnected.
DD- Direct Damage.
De-Buff/ Debuff- A negative spell cast on a unit that makes it less powerful.
Dev- Developer
Df- Dark forest.
DMG- Damage.
DnD- Do Not Disturb.
DoT- Damage Over Time. Certain weapons will use a proc (fire damage) that will slowly drain the targets health.
DPS- Damage per second .
Dupe- Acquiring items through a bug or glitch.
E~
Ems- Elite marlin sword.
EoE- Eye of Eternity.
Epic- Very awesome, or the item category/shown with a indigo color.
Esb- Elite sea blaster.
Ewt- Elite wave twister.
F~
F2P- Free to play.
Farming- Repeatedly clearing/ or killing the same map/monsters to gain specific loot.
FFA- Free For All.
FH- Full Health/Forest haven.
FM- Full Mana.
FN- Frozen nightmare.
FTW- For the win.
FWIW- For what it's worth.
FYI- For your information.
G~
GG, GF, GJ- Good Game, Good Fight, Good Job.
Gh- Guild hall.
GM- Game Master/Guild Master.
Griefer- A person who purposely tries to annoy or anger other players.
Grinding- Staying in the same area fighting the same types of monsters for a very long time.
GL- Good Luck/Group Leader/Guild Leader.
Gratz/Grats/Gz- Short for congratulations.
GTG- "Good to go", or "got to go."
H~
Hax/Haxor- Refers to an action being abnormally skilled/awesome. Also hate ax. (Hate ax set.)
HP- Hit points/Health potions /or Health Potions.
HoT- Heal Over Time.
HF- Have Fun.
Hybrid- Mixed stat character. Example- int/str, dex/int.
I~
IC- I see.
IGN- In game name.
IMO- In my opinion
INT- Intelligence.
Inven- Inventory
IOS- Devices using Apple software.
IRL- In Real Life.
J~
JK- Just Kidding.
JP- Just playing.
K~
Kiting- A style of combat in which the player continually runs out of range and deals damage to the target. Usually 12-13m.
KS- Kill Steal. Quickly finish off another players target in PvP.
K/kk- Okay.
L~
LAG- Latency; connection to server.
LE- Lost Expedition.
Leech- Steeling exp from a group or another player by staying at the back, or lying dead in a re-spawn level.
LFG- Looking for a group.
LFT- Looking for team.
LMAO- Laugh my a** off.
LOL- Lots of Laughs or Laughing Out Loud. Or, (rarely) Lots of Love.
LOM- Low on Mana.
Loot- to take the drop, or gold from a mob that has been destroyed.
LTMQ- Laughing to myself quietly,
LVL- Level.
M~
Main- Your mainly used character, usually you highest level one.
Mats- Materials.
Mfa- Mount fang armor.
Mhoh/Mhh- Monarch helm of Humania.
MMORPG- Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.
MOB- Mobile Object Block. Mobs are computer programmed characters/things in the game.
Mod- Moderator.
Mule- Usually a low level alternative character creating solely for stashing items and gold.
N~
Nerf- To degrade the power of an item/class/thing in the game.
Newb/Newbie- A way of saying that someone is new or inexperienced to the game.
Ninja/ninja'd- To say or get something very quickly/ before others.
NM- Not much.
Noob/Nub/Narb- Another way of saying Newbie. It is often used as in insult.
No prob/NP- No Problem.
NPC- Non Player Character.
Nuke- To throw a bunch of destructive spells on a target, and often destroying it.
NVM- Never mind.
O~
Obo- Or best offer.
Oic- Oh, I see.
Omfg- Oh my ****** God!
Omg- Oh my God, usually said when surprised or annoyed.
Omw/Oow- On my way / on our way.
Owned/Own/Pwned/Pwns- To completely decimate someone or something, in Pve or PvP.
Otoh- On the other hand.
P~
P2P- Pay to play.
Pally- Paladin.
Party- A group of players clearing mobs, or levels to gain xp or specific loot.
Patch- An update that fixes small bugs and problems but does not bring new content.
Plz/Pls/Plox- Please.
Port- Short for teleport.
Pot- Potion.
POV- Point of view.
Powerleveling- Having a higher level player quickly take an alt through levels to gain xp quickly.
Pp- Plasma pyramid.
Ppl/Peeps- People.
Pro- Profesional.
Proc- Process on action.
Prolly- Probably.
Puller- Player who beckons/pulls mobs for the party/group. Also known as rounding up.
PvE- Player vs. Environment. The "story" part of the game. Normal games with a 5 player max group fighting against mobs.
PvP- Player vs. Player. The 1v1/3v3/5v5 player arena where players battle each other.
R~
RDY- Short for, ready.
Rg/reg- Regen.
Rej/Rj- Rejoin. (To rejoin a game/level)
Res/Rez- Acronym for resurrect.
Re-Spawn- A monster that has been destroyed will, in some places be re-created.
RFP- Ready for pull.
RMK- Remake.
Root- Using a root skill or a slash, to freeze the target.
RL- Real life.
ROFL- Rolling on the floor laughing.
RP- Role-Playing.
Rush- To kill a player in PvP without using the 1v1 "go" system.
S~
S>/S- Selling.
SC- Sand caves/Shadow caves.
SoH- Shield of Hallows.
SP- Skill points.
STFU- Shut the f*** up.
STR- Strength
STS- Spacetime studios
STG- Spacetime games
Suxxors- It sucks.
T~
T>/T- Trading.
Tank- A str character that can take a lot of damage I.e. a Warrior.
Taunt- A skill or movement that attracts the attention of monsters. [see aggro]
TBA- To be announced.
TBD- To be determined.
TNL- To next level.
TTYL- Talk to you later.
Twink- A low level character or alt, that was created for PvP or Farming Pve.
Ty/thx- Thanks or Thank You.
TYVM- Thank you very much.
