I asked this same exact thing in a PM and all I got back was that when they had more details on it, they would announce it.

It will definitely run on a Motorola Droid.

I'm not looking for hard numbers and final spec's as much as a general idea of what the dev's are shooting for. 800x480(WVGA), 320x480(HWVGA)

They showed the app on a Droid and the Droid has a 854x480 resolution which is different than mine at 800x480 so I'm just curious if the app will scale to the screen size and make it possible to play on most devices as long as it is 2.0 and better.

I'm all set, I have the Vibrant. It is just a few friends that have "entry" level Android phones that I'm wondering about.

well everything I throw at my phone runs super smooth, from word search to need for speed shift. but considering that games for android have yet to really push the hardware, it is hard to say. And now with phones carrying the second gen snapdragon(like the G2) the field is getting even better.
Though I can OC my phone to 1.6 now it really doesn't make a difference, again because no games really push the hardware.

I'm gonna guess that they'll need at least 2.1 and Snapdragon or better. This will mean that the Nexus One, Evo 4G, Droid Incredible, Droid, Droid 2, Droid X, G2, HTC Legend, HTC Aria, HTC Desire, and any Galaxy S phone. Sony Xperia use 1.6 and as such, are FTL.

HTC Hero and stuff from the prior gen are likely SOL too. The NDK available to devs is somewhat specific to code for by platform. Those are pretty iffy.

I am going to guess that it will be closer to 2.0. All devices that do run 2.1 should be more than capable of running this.
