I think people keep misunderstanding STS. When they were originally asked to explain the two new color rarities (mythic and arcane), they explained that mythics would be better than the best legendary items for 1 more expansion after their release, and arcane would be better than the best legendary items for 2 more expansions after their release. They never said that level 31 mythics would be better than level 36 mythics, and they never said any of them, except for the helm and armor, would be upgraded.

They never said that level 31 mythics would be better than level 36 mythics, and they never said any of them, except for the helm and armor, would be upgraded.

Ignorance is bliss. From what i can tell most warrios will be happy they have a mythic sword, rogues that like daggers will get mythic ones now unless they have arcane and sorcs that like staffs will be able to have a mythic one if thwy dont have arcane. Not all rogues and sorcs like long distance weapons so this equalled out those that dont. Dont really see a problem here i mean ofc a.mythic staff is going to have more dps then mythic gun but gun has more dmg, same with bow vs dagger, same with sword and shield vs sword. Pick your poison

I don't mind new mythic items, what I mind is that with the fornicated up economy this game has it seems only the upper echelon of the population will even stand a chance to enjoy the new items.

Ok so you merched, hustled and farmed your way to a new item, good job guy! Oh wait...new (overpriced) items in some weeks!

And it doesn't just affect the general population but even merchers, selling becomes a pain, sometimes to a loss to get rid of items.

The new myrhics are only available for the weekend so not everyone is going to get one, yet. They will probably be rereleased at some point later on. I believe this is due to the posts of 'no reason to open crates'

Just an FYI, if you have tried on the Mythic Staff compared to the Gun, the staff boosts EVERY stat. Its all GREEN from my end, not red.

And this is with full upgraded mythic on. In terms of stat boosting, it raises every single stat.

The ONLY advantage I still like about the gun is range and the proc it gives off, but other than that give me a staff please.

So does the rogue's mythic daggers. It has +12 damage over the mythic bow. If you like a staff I would say get the mythic staff but for me I much prefer a gun. I made this video demonstrating what is possible when using a gun:

I suggest someone try doing the same thing using a staff. It will be a lot harder because you have to be stationary to fire your staff. This is something I went through in season 4 when the nordr jewel was the best damage weapon before they released the mythic gun. In elites where the goal is boss fights, in my opinion its harder to fight elite bosses with a staff. Because you tend to move around a lot more and if you are stationary for too long you become a target. Having both you could switch between the staff and gun as needed. But for me if I am going to have a staff, I will save & buy the arcane staff and not waste 10m gold on something that will be not the best next season, as we have seen with the gun. People need to use some rationale judgement and if they did the prices on these items would drop considerably.

Dont realise this as im mythic free but like falmear, id still prefer a gun. Either way sts never promised mythics would be best for another expansion

Off topic, i believe this can predict what next arcanes will be and im sure warrios wont be happy so prepare for that too

Yes, the new weapons are different weapon types than the old weapons, so they were not meant to compete with them. Plus they will be super rare as they are only released for this weekend, and unlike last time they released the old mythic weapons, the drop rates are not boosted this time. So I would expect prices to stay over 10m until some future time when they are re-released.

For now I intend to keep my mythic gun. It's very hard to use a staff in PvP as you have to aim it. I do much better with my gun.

And BTW, for everyone who complains they cannot afford mythic, this will help you because no doubt price on the old mythics are falling due to the release of the new ones. So if you are a sorcerer who could not previously afford the runic gun, now may be your chance to get one in another few days.

That's the problem with people... they don't see mythic gear as "gear." They see gear as a stock that must be continuously worried about.

Gear is gear. Sure it was expensive when you bought it, but what was the true reason you bought yours?

The answer is gameplay improvement.

I got my mythic sword when it was still 5m, but now its is border-lining only 1m. I don't complain because during that time, I completed numerous Elite runs, increased my PVE count, and helped many members of my guild. That is how I determine if an item has value. The long-term investment I made by buying it... payed off over time.
