Ping goes so high it keeps kicking me out?

Can anybody help me with my Ping please? When I go into the Town or an active map and join a group it become unplayable - 90% it goes so high it automatically kicks me out. It’s never happened before only seem to have started since the update a week ago, I use an iPhone4 and have even switched off:

• 3G
• Mobile Data
• Location Services
• Bluetooth

Thinking it was something in the background running, anybody else experiencing this or do you have any ideas please, thanks

p.s My Wi-Fi is OK at home, no problems there.

Same problem with ipod touch on wifi.
i have found that you will NOT lose connection if you talk. it will re-establish connection! so its not much of a problem anymore for me
