    im still worried about 19-30 =D soooo im gonna try a 19 shivbear, 19 forest bow bird, 19 pally, and 19 pure int elf.... which ill post stuff for later, skools almost done.

    Exclamation Feedback on INT Mage and STR Bear L30-38

    for now i tried various set up on my 2 characters thanks to the free re-spec option, they are a L 37 mage and L 37 bear. By the way since i haven't take the road to Alien Oasis yet, what i'm saying concern only L30 - 38 characters, and levels.
    Here's my feedback:

    About the INT Mage class:
    To me mage is pretty strong, i was surprised, after reading all the complains about thats mages are squishy and under-powered.
    The reduced buff make the class much funnier to play, i can cast as many spells as i want, they are strong and can kill most of the mobs arrounds my spell area after 3 cast. (Ice / Fire / thunder, with buffs ON.)
    Also i can heal myself much faster.

    In practise. I can complete the Mardi Growl map with a little strategy all by myself, without dying once, and without using any pots.
    I Also proven its efficiency in PVP, wining a match against 2 players (2 tanks.)

    My specs without and with gear on:
    400 Hp 656 Ma / 400 Hp 670 Ma
    STR: 1 / 1
    DEX: 77 / 77
    INT 112 / 140
    Hit%: 89 / 103
    health reg 2/ 8
    mana reg3 / 13
    DMG: 28-34 / 97-113
    DPS: 13 / 44
    armor: 3 / 50

    Gears: Dreamer's Elven Helmet / Dreamer's Dark Wand / Brain-freeeze Yeti Shaman Cloth / Brain-Freeze Magic Yeti Eyeball ( all purchased via the Consignment Store)

    Maxed Skills: Heal / Lighting / Firestorm / Magic Shield / Blessing Of Might.
    Vitality: L4
    Icestorm: L3
    Drain Life L2
    Frostbite: L1
    Res: L1


    for the level, it's a pretty decent set i think, i have lot of fun playing, alone, and with mates. i can kill load of mobs fast, and never use pots anymore.


    Now the STR Bear:

    It was my first character, and at that time it was pretty cool, now i feel him really under-powered, pots dependent and other classes dependent, that's unfair!

    i cannot finish Mardi growl on my own, it take way too much time to kill mobs and bosses, and need lot of pots mana and heal. It's not fun and i have to beg mages friends to join ( then i fell so useless)

    With a 2 handed weapFrozen Long sword of the bear (Purp)) i get 154-189 DMG and 54 DPS, Nice on paper but a nightmare in quest.

    sometimes i spend 15 sec to kill a single mob, even if (maxed) stomp and Beckon help,
    it's way to slow compared to a mage of the same level.

    i have low mana regen (2 thanks to my 65 INT) so i can't cast much spells, and weak armor, DPS is just too low. Pots are my friends, but saddly i can't get rich fast, killing 1 mob at a time.

    With a one handed sword and shield:
    (Iceberg Blizz Zword - Iceberg Frozen Shield) i get 63- 64 DMG 42 DPS
    But a nice 6 mana regen, and 14 health regen.

    i can survive with that, but it takes hours to kill. DMG skills are low, kills are slows.. i give up, frustrated after being a mobs punching-ball for 15 min. I simply don't have the motivation to start a quest alone.


    After that i tried to turn my STR bear to a DEX Bear,

    it was a bit better, after beckon-Stomp, i don't have to walk to each mob to finish 'em,
    It make the gameplay fun again. But a bear wearing a cap with a feather, a wing shield and a Talon... Thats looks weird and sad.

    well. I did not tried yet the Archer Class. So i can't comment on that, but seeing others players, they look pretty independant too


    SO: good job on mage, increase DPS and DMG for bears.

    I am using a intbear in ao3. It works great, I do loads of damage and tho I have less armor the stregth of my kills make up. Only thing is the wands are 2.4 speed which sucks. I can gEt good amor with my but on tho. Here's buffed stats(rage&blood)

    I think some of the Dex melee weapons should be tuned up. Dex builds can't survive hand to hand combat so daggers and what not should be more powerfull. I know their DPS is "great" now, but when I try to use a dagger with my mostly dex (with some str) bear he gets killed so quickly that I just don't see a point in having daggers in the game...

    Usually dex tanks are cool...

    Have you guys been making updates for combat still? I remember a week ago my str/int mage (lvl 20) got killed by birds pretty quick (which was fair). But now, I can one on one anything and win. Birds can't kill me solo and when I fight other mages with same build the battle goes on and on until we run out of mana.

    Not sure if mage damage was lowered and armor increased or what?

    Cyber, ehh not the best you can do make up some new ides ,GREAT ! i like the forum but .Cyber is just recap of level 22 quest in fathom , maybe you should make items ! like this,When new levels come make str,dex,int,armor glow like glow in the dark armor and give it like like for strength big horns coming out of the shoulders dripping gold coins,and mage should have the robe with like a add on attachment to the back for royalty and when she walks from place to place it leaves a gold trail the shortly dissapears , and for eagle armor you should have like arrows on his legs ,on his head put arrows out the back dripping gold like the others but the armor should have that arrow case but dripping golden arrows everytime yo shoot for the dramatic effect on each , and on everyone there should be a design of like acient things and you know what i mean , GO 1.6!!1

    Cinco, wouldnt it be easier to separate pve vs pvp and stat change the ratings rather than Change the whole game? Entering into a pvp environment would simply be percentage based vs actual pieces that would be used for pve. Most of the reads here would seem to be hybrid based and pvp oriented. The pve pure aspect and storyline of the game would be left intact while still giving the pvp a change up. Whatever the change may be, I think the standard cosmos,void and rift should be the desired pursay and cybor armor should not outclass it. Really if we change the anything, perhaps the respec point cap needs to be raised a bit and if there are a few pieces that need adjusted, do so accordingly.

    Example, rift or void is fine, however cosmos lacks str. Rift perhaps lacks ms but can be accommodated by certain armor pieces. I dont see any particular problem with void personally or at least how I have mine spec'd

    While you are rebalancing, I suggest that you re-balance item drops.

    "Rare" and "Epic" items are not very rare and at higher levels no one wants them.

    It starts at the top where a lot of "Legendary" items aren't that rare which drive the prices down and make it so that "rare" items are not even worth the time of day.

    Bottom line, there are WAY too many "rare", "epic" and "legendary" drops. There needs to be a lower cap based on the total number of players in the game.

    Or maybe these items can be sold back at a reasonable rate. There are many Legendary items which you can sell for under 100 gold which isn't holding up prices at all. If there was some sell back point which could keep the floor price on items in tact then it would help.

    I am a mage with a Snowman helmet, winter festival protective present lvl 10, Khfra cloth of isis lvl 45, elf guard's platinum axe lvl 17

    I am lvl 47 and with this equipment, I have 84 str, 10 dex, 168 int
    probably the only character i actually use, other are my movng storage slots.

    I dont know if this is exactly what you are looking for. However, I still feel that this game could facilitate a change like the one below:

    6 New Hero Classes

    Once a character reaches the Max Level as a Ursan, Avian, or Elf you then are required to choose a Hero Class and each Base Class will have 2 Hero Classes associated with it. When you reach max level you are then prompted to decided which path you will venture. You will start again at level 1, however you will have all the spells up to the max level of your base class. But, you will gain the equivalent of that many spells in your Hero class that will go on to specialize your character even more. Once you transformed into your hero class, you would unlock all of the zones on Heroic level which would be twice as hard. Players who had not unlocked Heroic Mode on their character could not play in the Heroic Zones, however a Hero would be able to go and play the normal zones. Once you became a Hero Class you would not longer be able to use potions. They would be transfered to your next highest level character that is still able to use potions, if none meet requirements then you would be funded gold for the equilivent of potions you have.

    The classes will go as follows Avian will be able to become the Hero Class of Ranger or Assassin. Rangers will be bow specialists, these classes will be masters of death from above. They will learn the art of traps and master the precision of arrownautics

    The Assassin class will be the specialists of daggers, shiv's, and talons! These backstabbing rogues will be one with the shadow. They will master the art of sneak and perfect the critical strike. These will be your true weapon specialists, mastering the precisions of dagger movements.

    The Ursan Base class will have a choice to transform to either a Guardian or a Berzerker.

    The Guardian is the epitome of a meat shield. These enraged ursans use thick armor and daring shields to deflect even the strongest of blows from the mightiest foes. This will be the true tank in a group and will be needed if a group is to venture to far into the wild.

    Berzerker is the opposite of the Guardian, they are the enraged ursans. These damage dealers are specialists in taking damage and dealing more damage. These are not the best option for a tank, however they can take a lot of hits and will be standing at the end of the round. This is the only class beside the Assassin that is capable of dual weilding.

    The Elf base class will transform into either a Templar or Wizard.

    The Templar is the God Healer, these chosen few take Healing to another level, they have mastered all forms of healing and specialize in preventing death from their allies instead of dealing it to their foes. Using Holy spells these physician's call on their powers to aid the weak. This Hero Class has also mastered the art of Curing.

    The Wizard is the Master of Spell Damage, no other class can match the insane damage afflicted by these magic moguls. They control at will the properties of the elements (Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water) and wield them as a assassin would their sword.

    Kind of like Ragnarok Online, except no dual-classes and past skills.
