Actually, the only reason I'm disagreeing is because StG did not guarantee that the spooky shields were exclusive. Heck, I may not even purchase the spooky shield as I am low on platinum.

This is true.
Even while the spooky shield is only DOTD for one day, it doesn't gurantee that everyone will get it.
Some people never check DOTD (such as me), some people dont even care, or knoe what it is.
Heck, most people wont even know the DOTD on the 23rd is spooky shield, unless someone would tell them, or they found out theirselves.
So "noobs" wont really know because they won't really check. And its not as if its for many days, its only one day, so the lucky ones who know about it and get to get on that day/have enough plat will get it.

Lol, never seen any dev say they aren't an exclusive item.. anything two years old and hasnt been copy and pasted more then once should be an exclusive items …

Really, the real ones, ones that just started the game or have little experience. And most starters don't know about DOTD, some people don't check it, they think it gives nub stuff. Some people won't check because they don't even know what's going to happen on the following DOTDS.
Only thing I recall buying from DOTD was a white balloon.

Also surely it'd be just a re-colouring code thats all you need sam come one, make it green and black, or green red and black, green skull, white outline, red backround. Christmas colour, why we bringing in old items from times that weren't even Christmas, they should be Chrissy items at least changed colours
