Alright, enough is enough.
Even if I'm going to be the only one on this "debate" of yours who will actually support bringing back old vanities as is, so be it. I do not have an issue with recoloring them yet you "old" players managed to rush in this so aggressively -in fear that your "cool" limited vanities will fly away- that forced Sam to reconsider and add the less attractive ones only.
I'm sure the veteran community isn't bound by such ridiculous things as vanity possessions; vanities were and are here to add some spice to the gameplay, not define it. If you stayed at SL for this long, it's rather obvious that you enjoyed *playing* the actual game, not just posing around with your exclusive vanities. If that's not the case, see the little red button on the upper lright corner of your browser? Click it.
Seriously now, you can't really do much more than threatening. If you actually ever took the time to read the Terms of Service, you'd see that this whole demand of refunding platinum for loss of their exclusiveness is quite laughable. And here's the quote from ToS:
Platinum/Pearls. While using our Spacetime Applications, you may purchase Platinum or Pearls, which are in-game currency used to access certain features and functionality. Spacetime reserves the right in its sole discretion to change the amount of Platinum/Pearls or the fee required for Platinum/Pearls for use of any given feature. Platinum/Pearls have no real world value and may only be used to purchase virtual products or services provided by Spacetime. Platinum/Pearls have no cash value and are non-transferrable. FEES PAID FOR PLATINUM/PEARLS ARE FINAL AND UPON TERMINATION NO PLATINUM/PEARLS WILL BE REFUNDED. SPACETIME shall have no liability for hacking or loss of Platinum/Pearls from your Spacetime account. The terms for redeeming Platinum/Pearls can be changed at any time without notice. Selling Platinum/Pearls and/or fraudulent or unauthorized charges are in direct violation of these Terms and all violators will be subject to immediate account termination. All Platinum/Pearl purchases and items purchased within the in-game store using Platinum/Pearls are non-refundable.
Even in the event the "old" community decides to break off the game as "payback", SL won't take that much of a hit and it's certainly worth the risk. Most of them just joined up the uproar of the alpha-annoyed old players, they'll suck it up and keep playing. Hell, maybe they'll see the good side in this and grab some stuff for their new toons. I'm not going to go through the psychology behind this, it's just how it works lads. And quoting Boromir somewhat falsely, "One does not simply stop playing SL.".
Lastly, since we all know that making new vanities from step one is currently out of question, guess what type of item would make the new players buy more platinum; some unattractive, unnoticeable petty old vanities? Or the real thing, the legendary vanities they randomly saw all this time and just can't wait to get their hands on? You decide.

i agree with - koolopAnother feedback, maybe instead of bring old stuff maybe adding like one or more items that are new like pets maybe pets that add other stats instead of dodge and crit and maybe so funny vanity something that we will never forget, maybe bring back the Joy in Star Legends once again
P.s would be nice if you add stuff from movie like something from Xmen like wolverine Claws, hulk hands, spider mans costume, just something crazy and funnyplease tell me what you think
