Winter Star Rings

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the Winter Star have a "starlight" particle effect on them but it doesn't show up on the auction or avatar screen

As the stats are horrible, I might keep one now just for the particle effect

Yea, I wondered why the particle effects don't appear on the avatar or CS screen, same with the Halloween Vampire Amulets.

Is the a dev who can answer why these particle effects aren't visible on those screens?

If u use a night ocean they're not that terrible, lose 1.6dps & 0.6dmg gain 60 armor and 20hp

There are some epic rings out there that are a lot better than the crate and winter rings. You have to spend some time checking it out if u arent that rich or have a tight budget as the rings are affordable sometimes cheaper than crate rings and its a lot better in terms of health. Sometimes the legendary stuff that drops out of crates are worse than some of the epic gear which shouldn't happen, but I understand that it's there for a reason.

Ya looks amazing on my noob set/town set (Common armor n helm, some staff which looks nooby but has an awesome looking proc, vamp amulet and now the winter star ring).

Are you sure? Just go to cs and compare your ruby band with the most pricy rings like archon or enscolled or troll necromatic (you dont need to compare with mythic blood ruby because its obvious enough I think) Also compare it to 3.1 damage winter ring version! Useless you say? Yes it doesnt give as much strenght, but on the other hand it gives 73 armor and also gives a cool animation. Many players use it in town just for that animation!

The point is, the Epic rings at lvl 36 for each class top out at around 20-30k as opposed to the legendary and Mythics that will give you slightly better stats with prices hitting 500k-1m pretty quick.

Lots of members in our guild until recently were running epic rings and Glipnier as their amulet since they were cheap/free BUT gave some very good stats for the price.

You are right.. that ring replaces the epic ring now for the cheap and good sector

I think the archon rings are expensive mostly for the cool look, being rare and its stat is good too.

You can try it yourself! go to cs, search archon and click on the try on button or something like that and you will see!
