Current Price 35-40k
Ability : Proc Ice Armour
Noticed that it triggers fairly often, the effect being that your toons limbs are suddenly encased in ice. The 'damage reduction' icon appears;
Procs approximately 5% (1 in 20 swings)
I didnt do EXTENSIVE testing, but a goblin shooting arrows at me was dealing 105-115 dmg, and after proc, the range dropped to 98-105, so it looks like a 5-7% reduction for about 10 seconds


Frozen Heart Sword of Potency
Current Price 20-30k
Ability : Proc reduce enemy hit -25%, Proc Freeze
Dont have this yet ; any brah's out there have some input ?

All the Winter items are more for show. Their abilities are neat, but stats are horrible!

what is the purpose to create an ''event'' if the items are bad? i really don't understand sts all the event items are crap just more trash.

bad stats don't give any good..

Only the event weapons stats aren't good like kakashis said they are just for show. Tarlok and wintermancer armors are the best legendary sets out now. The new pets are great also.

The frozen sword got the short end of the stick DMG wise - its like, 30 DMG less than the generic Maul, and only +7 DPS above it. The factor that might salvage it is how often it freezes, and for how long. Frozen anything = less incoming damage = less potting & higher tankability.

seconded for tarlok's armour sets - it slightly outperforms the Halloween sets, and the Shadow sets have been sent to the gutter.

about pets - i dont know if it was lagging or something, but frosteye's movement animation while 'walking' is crap, he just 'glides' across the floor without moving his legs.

U were lagging, frosteye looks pretty awesome walking around, one of the best looking pets I have

I currently use the tarlok potency armor and helm and i love them! The weapons are just for show a vanity..

I am currently using the Arctic Guard of Will in Elite Runs over the Dimensional Targe of Savvy I was using before. The Armor Value is much better, and I'm not there to deal damage while Tanking, so it does the Job really well. There's probably better Legendary Sword n Board out there, but the proc is pretty good on these Winter weapons and it does me well in my runs.

The Ice Dancers of Brutality are another sleeper weapon that people are quick to dismiss. They are similar to Mountain Teeth Daggers but when they proc its +15 DEX but proc much more often that its almost always +15.

dont pass up the weapons if you can grab them for cheap. Even the Sorc one is okay (it seems to proc pretty frequent too)

What do you mean the sorcs ones are okay? the gun is just dimensional percussion revamped. The staff gives even much less damage than the cheap devourer staffs ...

Yeah I agree. My warrior stats become trash when equipped, but I don't care really cause the looks of the weapon it's really neat. I think it's one of my top favorite winter weapons.

I like the winter weapon for war. it gives a huge armour 184 lol. almost mythic sword.
and with tarlok will set+Arctic guard will+prance= 1900armour with 5.5k hp
best for tank. also about 10% ice armour proc.

There is actually another Legendary Sword n Board that has more armor than the Arctic Guard, but def not as cool looking. Forgot the name though.

now we gotta see how well it freezes bosses - ill pick one up later today and swing it at that silly pirate shark.
