Argh! Story of my life in AL. I've had pretty much everything in s1 that would be considered valuable today. Either deleted or sold way too early. I wish I had veteran STS player guidance to tell me to save those darned things back then.

The reason they are worth so much is exactly because everyone deleted them. If everyone had kept them, they would be of little value. I can remember selling my first forerunner set for about 5k. It was at the end of season 1, I had both level 15 & 16 sets. I sold the level 15 set in the auction, there were a ton of them for sale at the time, and they were all priced around 2-3k per piece.

I never had a heraldic set. Those were for players who did not have enough plat for the legendary forerunner set, so they would save some plat and get the cheaper epic heraldic set. I had enough plat, so there was no reason to get the cheaper set. The forerunner looked (and still does look) nicer... the colors are brighter and otherwise the style is the same. People just like heraldic because it's rare. But forerunner is the nicest looking set of that style.

Oh the memories. Meh, I still have my l7 forerunner set and my 16 vorpal sword from S1 so I'm set, collection wise.

Pretty cool having these items, but some have deleted/sold these stuff unintentionally.

I would suggest a lock feature on our inventory to safeguard our "precious" belongings from unintentional deletion/sale.
