Default Explain the purpose in a "twink"

I don't get it. Well, I don't know much about it either.

A twink is a lower level player who has turned off their XP and plans to stay at the lower level permanently. There are a few main purposes:

    1) Farming twink gear during special events. For example, if you were a level 10 twink during the recent winter event, you could get level 10 Tarlok gear instead of level 35/36. Since there are fewer twinks, the lower level holiday gear tends to be worth more than end game holiday gear.

    2) Opening crates. You have the same chance at a mythic/arcane item, but any legendary drops will be the same level as your twink, and this lower level gear is worth more for the same reason, there are fewer twinks that open crates than there are end game players, so the gear is rarer.

    3) PvP. Some people like lower level PvP. Since the characters are weaker and have fewer skill points to spend, the battles often last longer. Also, if you have the best wink gear, you will do better at lower level PvP since many of the players are not twinks but instead are new players who are in the process of leveling up, so they are less experienced and easier to beat. This is why you find some PvP twinks with 50-1 KDR.

Twinks are alt toons and not main.
Infact in some games they are are also called droppers.

So many twinks have a main character for farming maps and a twink for farming crates and pvp (that is my case).

Making a twink and leaving it has the main character is not a wise thing to do, specialy in Al.

Just recently made 3 twinks for pvp and here is my reasoning. To pvp in end game you need mythic or arcane gear just too survive. Twinks can get great gear for 1/10th of the price and have still have the best gear for that level.

I already have my 3 end game guys also for pve tho. No point in making a twink for pve as someone else said.

My bro is a pve twink he has a Lv36 toon but he just gave up on it and sold the equip and maxed the twink.
It has been this way for more than 2 months now though he made a outstanding kdr.

He is always out of money xD

I have 4 twinks. They can be geared for way cheaper and you still get a good pvp experience.

Level 17/18 seems to be popular as well.

End game PVP would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better if twinking was disallowed.

Yep and to add thatNot all twinks farm for good kdr.
i for one, went to twink cos endgame pvp cos tons of gold to enjoy pvp.
Twink pvp cost less than endgame. There are only few differneces, the number of players(skilled or geared).
Ganging, dramas and spotblocking are performed by endgame and twinks.

When you decide to be a Twink and turn off xp, you cannot get pve kills that count
