Frozen iPod

Earlier today (around 1:45) I was playing hidden grate for balefort. All the sudden, it started lagging really bad and then it just froze. The whole iPod was frozen, I couldn't go to sleep mode, home screen, or even turn it off. Took about a half hour to get unfrozen.
I know it wasn't a problem with the network because I was playing with my friend and his was fine.
I guess it COULD have been a problem with the device, but I decided to post just in case.
Also I was the only one there, so the lag cause is unknown.

Hmm funny enough my friend had same thing not sure were he was in PL but it just frozen and it was on fire his iPod (not literally). And it just froZe d

No it wasn't really hot but I
Have a feeling it would of if it was like that
For much longer.
