Rules say that you can't switch sets once you enter a tournament.

Speaking of which, there's a flaw in the rules (unless it's intentional). Is it meant to be that once you recieve who you're competing with, you can chose a build so that your opponent is at a disadvantage? In my eyes, it's kinda unfair.

Let me clear this up. You are welcome to change your builds/items before an official match. You are not however allowed to change builds/items during that match. After the match has ended you can once again change builds/items. You may not however change toons/classes once you have registered.

The computer will randomly assign (initial) pairs. Afterwards you'll have a general idea of who you might battle.
