Selling in Auction vs Paradise Pier, City of Kelys etc...

Is selling items in auction a lot easier and quicker than running around Paradise Pier or City of Kelys for buyers on what you are selling? Also, in the auction is it better to be just a little cheaper than the rest of the items that are already listed? 100 gold cheaper for a quicker sale in auction?

Depends..

Selling in auction give you more exposure to the entire player base... For a hefty price.

Selling in chat/town gives you less exposure to the current town you are in... But it's free.

Generally you sell high prices items on the street.
You don't want to spend time selling deary for 50 gold, but selling Samael egg in CS is a waste of money. Also you can talk to the buyer and try to negotiate for better price. When you list, it's definitive.

I used to sell in cities, but find that it takes too long and too many low balls as well as scammers. My rule of thumb to be successful at CS if you're not a mercher:

If avg price is 1000, I list a couple hundred less
10000 I list couple thousand less
100k, I do 5-10k less than lowest price
1m+ I go 50-100k less

I've never sold anything more expensive than a few million but would probably do forums for Arcane/mythics
