If you use paw it would be better, because mages have really low armor at low level, using forgotten bow would do some damage but you'd die quickly

Dying quickly wouldn't do much damage to your opponent

also if u use fbow make sure u use expert leather cause that ups your h/s and health
if you are going to go for paw use: 3 heal
4 light
2 fire
1 ice

but if u use fbow i sugget: 4 light
3 fire
1 ice
2 heal
