Is it worth in this season?

I just got one all supers and love it. Damage is horrible but my stamina is huge and I can take a big beating. Great for pt in new elites. I haven't compared it to Arcane maul or glaive but compared to my entombed, architect, or dev maul it is far superior for tanking. I haven't seen anything yet that compares. I use it with Prance or Abaddon and im over 2.1k armor and have 6.5k hp. It did give me the immortal impression for a few pulls but that quickly goes away. You still can't over pull new elite mobs and better watch boss red zones. Imo its worth having but they may release something better in several weeks. Right now its still the best shield.

It is the best shield weapon for elite mobs tanking, bud Conquerors Walls of Potency/Assault are better for bosses, because of their more often stun procs.
State for today, it could be diferent next week :-)

Yeah pavise+prance is stun city. If you have a high DPS team behind you its a good combo to use. The procs works even while you are stunned. So you're still being somewhat useful to your party

If you can afford it then its worth having in your collection of tools

yep its still best tanking weapon. although dmg is very low bt who cares for dmg. war r meat shield so should hav high hp and armour which this only weapon satisfies. it still makes war beast in elites

New gear will come out this season. I am interested in the new archon potency rings. Does anyone know the armor bonus for the level 41 version?

It's the same as lvl 36. 2.5%. Decent stat boost on lvl 41 makes it better than the troll ring which imo was superior to the archons last season. 58 armor on troll last season was better than 2.5% but now with 2.1k armor archon gives you a little over 50 armor. I say Archon is game on until I hit the lotto for arcane or they scale up Brunch.

The 2.5% is a flat lie. It gives armor even when you have no other gear on. I forget how much it is though I want to say 61 or 91

Not sure how you are seeing how much armor archon ring is giving. I cant see it on my avatar. With no gear and viewing stats it shows a green zero for me. I always assumed this was similar to the passive armor skill or passive damage crit skills. it doesn't show the increase to your viewable stats. If there is a way to see this let me know. Thanks!

You have to equip the ring to see the armor given. It is not viable from the auction house

Without any other gear on, the level36 archon ring of potency grants 93 armor to me.
