Yeah. For the elite vanity armor, you kill the red dragon 76 times, and for the pet, you kill the boss in the underworld (can't remember the name).

I hated doing the elite quests. I was thinking to myself every time that I did it that I might get a pink. I had to keep saying that for 2 characters and on my third lol.
