Its a vanity pet. Arcane ability something similar as konga.
Edit: pick crawly instead, its a cheap pvp pet but very good, many twinks use it.

One of my favorite and cheapest mage pets is ethyl. That little frog has everything a mage needs.
Shadowlurk > Clyde > Colton > Crawly
Relatively cheap pets. This is in my opinion.

Erm...IMO shadowlurk isn't that good now that we know that dmg% don't stack.
Also (my opinion) Clyde is better than Colton. It gives same int, gives some crit, but also gives some str. Also nice panic ability.
For me, Clyde > Colton > Crawly > Shadowlurk
